AT&T's 30-Day Return Policy (try the iphone for 30 days)

So if I was to buy a iPhone from a Apple store or apple.com and activated it would I have to return it to AT&T if I cancel withing the 30 days? That wouldnt make any sense if I did because the phone wouldnt of been purchased from AT&T directly. What do you think?

Don't forget, though, they will keep your activation fee after only 72 hrs.
Can't you just purchase the phone retail and put your SIM in it, without extending your contract? The $20/month is their normal MediaMax package (200 sms, unl. web access, etc.)

No the return period for the iphone will be 14 days from purchase, you will still have the 30 day return period for service w/o a termination fee. Also all returned iphones with a broken seal there will be a 10% restocking fee....so no joyriding the iphone for free...
