I've been using Mac's at work and home for almost 10 years and have pretty much beat the hell out them, and never have had to have them fixed or damaged them.
So if the iPhone is anything like their computers, it should be basically indestructable (I'm talking OS wise, not like if you drop it in a urinal or step on it or something)

Only problem I have had with my mac's was with my 17 inch imac who's power supply failed two weeks short of warrenty, they fixed it, and I Applecared it the same day.
BTW, bought a new black macbook about a month a go, love it.

come to think of it, the same thing happened to an iMac I used about a year ago. I think it was a manufacturer defect...

I imagine the warranty will be the same as any other at&t phone: 1 Year. I dont have any info supporting that but why would it be different than any other PDA or smartphone that at&t has to offer?

because apple wanted to maintain control over the repairs. So you might have to send it in to apple to get it looked at.

Apple's tradtional standard warrenty is 90 days tech support, 1 year parts and labor.

I wonder if Apple offers extended warranties. I'd feel better if it was covered as long as the contract lasts.
