What is it with samsung?

by sm4096    Jul 19, 2007, 2:27 AM

Strike 1: Why does Samsung user interface have to be different then what is standard by all of the other phones even across different carriers and technology. Are they trying to make it difficult on purpose for people to learn their phone, or for people who use their phone to use other phones? For Nokia, Motorola and any other manufacturer a "Master reset" resets settings, and for this Samsung it means to wipe everything. People who try to assist Samsung customers are going to mess Crying or Very sad up because Samsung fails to follow conventions on user interface.

Strike 2: Also standard it is *#06# to get show the IMEI on the screen. Why make it flash for only a few seconds. Are they trying to get their customers to want to strangle them because the people I helped sure wanted to.

Strike 3: A key capability is missing from the interface. You can not directly clear browser cache on the phone (I have done eveything else settings sim swap, signal) and cache is often the reason data does not work on the phone. I have been able to work around this with "Reset to Default Settings", however this is not mentioned in the manual or anywhere else I could find. On all the other phones there is possible just to reset cache to get the phone working.

Because of basic interface issues Confused and resulting frustrations, especially with this phone I suggest you stay away from Samsung until they get their act together. Mad
