Syncing to Mac using iSync or similar

Anyone try syncing this phone to the Mac Address Book with some iSync plugin or 3rd party sync software? I know there's almost no support for iSync but maybe there's a plugin out there, or maybe it works using another handset's profile?

Any help is appreciated. It's between this and an N75 for at&t here in the US.

What is it with samsung?

Strike 1: Why does Samsung user interface have to be different then what is standard by all of the other phones even across different carriers and technology. Are they trying to make it difficult on purpose for people to learn their phone, or for people who use their phone to use other phones? For Nokia, Motorola and any other manufacturer a "Master reset" resets settings, and for this Samsung it means to wipe everything. People who try to assist Samsung customers are going to mess 😢 up because Samsung fails to follow conventions on user interface.

Strike 2: Also standard it is *#06# to get show the IMEI on the screen. Why make it flash for only a few seconds. Are they trying to get their customers to want to strangle them b...

A717 vs A707 SYNC

Do you guys think this phone will be better than the SYNC. I tried the SYNC and liked it for the most part but I hated how you had to hold down the side keys for the external display to light up. I also thought that that made it kinda useless since you could open the phone quicker and the external display was kinda useless so I am thinking that the small OLED display of this phone might be more or just as useful.

What do you guys think?

A717 Superior To A707 Sync

I have both the A707 Sync and now the A717. They are both very nice phones and very close in functionality. I find the A717 to be my favorite for a number of reasons. I prefer the sleeker, thinner exterior without the audio controls, the protruding fixed camera, and the over sized external display. The small OLED display near the top, is very discreet and continues the "All Black" theme of the phone. I prefer the D-Pad as it's round instead of the irregularly shaped square on the A707. Another advantage of the 717 is the rotating camera that can be positioned to take pics front, rear or rotated to the closed position, thereby protecting the lens. I have large hands and find the keypad on the A717 easier to use and a bit more positive in the ...

I like the SYNC Better...

To me the SYNC looks much nicer than either of these phone. And besides being more aesthetically pleasing, the Sync also benefits from a better key pad and better directional pad as well. Also, the at&t branded SYNC was updated to support Video Share as well (the Cingular SYNC will not). All in all, the SYNC and the A717 operate exactly the same. And with the available external music keys, better key pad & better directional pad, I'll stick w/ the SYNC. And BTW, its like $100 cheaper.

can't see caller ID phone number on the front screen

Is there a way to see the entire number on the front screen? It's really lame how the number scrolls across - I can't see the area code of the caller ID unless I look at the phone as soon as I receive the call. That could be a deal breaker for me.

Battery compatible with SPH-m610?

I've got an m610, which I'm mostly happy with, but I'm seriously thinking of switching to AT&T to get an iPhone.

What I'd like to do is open an AT&T account and get an SGH-a717 to start, then pick up an iPhone when it's released, but I don't want to lose all the money I've invested in accessories. In particular, I'd love to be able to use my m610 battery in the a717, and vice-versa (the m610 would probably remain in use, since we maintain two different provider accounts).

The m610's biggest failing is its short battery life. I'm much more used to my SPH-i500, which came with a standard battery and a slim battery, plus a dual-charging sync cradle. I never even bothered getting the "extended" battery for it, because I always have one ful...

A717?

Has anyone tried this phone yet? I have 2 weeks left on my trial with the v3xx and having batt problems and the flip has got more loose when closed,it's still tight while open.
I like the looks of this phone even with the small oled screen(dont have to worry about fp's) the outer screen on the v3xx is almost useless anyway unless your in low light areas.
Thanks

Differences....

There are a few obvious differences in this phone and the M610... 2 major ones are visible in the pics provided...

For 1: the exterior front is completely different, the 610 is a solid, sleek front, whereas this is a little more boxy, with the divided lower portion, which I can't see a purpose in, other than to make it more obviousd where the speaker is located...

2: There looks to be an exterior access panel to the MicroSD slot, which would definately help, as this is one of the major flaws with the 610. This would also account for this phone being slightly thicker than the 610, seeing as how the interior design would vary slightly...

Also there are some minor interior differences, such as the layout of the keypad, the navigation p...

Corrected spec - 2 megapixel

We originally listed the camera as 1 megapixel by accident. I just confirmed that it is actually 2 megapixel. It's been corrected. We apologize for the misinfo.
