I have the LG VX8700 and can say its a great phone. I learned my lesson with Motorola a few years ago. They have horrible quality control. I made the switch to LG a couple of years ago and never looked back. I would give the 8700 a shot.

Some people don't like Motorola some people don't like LG. I for one don't like LG. Me and another member of my family had LG's at the same time and after about a year and a half the screen crapped out on both of them. Besides that we both had constant issues of the phone locking up and the only way to unlock it was to take out the battery and restart the phone. I missed so many calls on that LG that it was the 1st and last time i ever bought that brand. I have had cell phones for almost 15 years and all have been Motorola except for that one time. Sure i have had some bad Motorolas but at least i was still able to receive my calls and the dang phone didn't lock up like the LG did.
I do have to say my Maxx Ve is as good if not better then my E815 i had. My reception is excellent, I get service even were my E815 didn't. I have never had a motorola lock up on me. So i think the Maxx is a keeper.
Your gona get your bad phones with no matter what brand you buy, and that goes for any product.
My buck goes to Motorola. Look how many other manufactures copy what Moto has done, there are a ton of phones out there that has copyed the looks of the krzr. hmmmm Looks to me like moto is the leader in this technology.
