Ringtone- Ring+Voice

There seems to be a feature in the ringtones that will have a ring and then say 'call from', but I do not know how to get it to say the name of the caller. Is there a way to add a voice tag or is 'call from' all we get?

Am I missing something? [caller ID question]

I just picked up this phone two nights ago, and I like it a lot, however, this is the first phone that doesn't display the name stored in my phone book when someone calls.

Sprint transferred the phonebook from my old phone to this one, would that cause it? If not, am I missing a setting somewhere to get the name to pop up when someone calls?

I like the phone, but I definately don't recognize people by thier numbers.

donloading images from 3rd party sources

i have had the Sanyo, 6400, 4900, 4920, 7300, and 6100 and all have been capable of downloading images and ringers form sites such as mbuzzy.com and 3gupload.com. usually they are saved in the screen savers folder with the down directional. i have tried this many times with my 4930 and nothing shows up. NOT a new download icon, nothing inthe screen savers folder, or event he new my content folder.

any ideas.

cool but missing something

i like this phone, but a few things id like to see are a bigger screen, bluetooth that you could turn off and on would be a nice bonus, perhaps evdo capability (currently im satisfied without it), basically a few more of the luxuries you find in the upper class phones. this is a great looking phone, i like the grey color. the screen size is my main gripe on it. would be nice to see some upgrades to it.

Sanyo RL 4930

Sprint involuntarily updated me to this phone under the insurance coverage and I cannot find any source for software to download the phone book. I have hundreds of numbers and shudder at the thought of entering manually.
Anybody know of a source for software???

is anyone has tried to connect this phone to PC ?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to connect this phone to PC.

What program did you use?
Is it possible to synch contact list w/Outlook?
Are any particular cases recommended for this phone (like OEM vs non brand).

Thanks

Why not a TFT screen?!!

The only reason I didn't buy the preceding model, the RL-4920, was because of the color STN screen display. (I ended up with the Sanyo PM 8200) In my opinion, the STN display is too fuzzy. Over the course of the year I waited to see if Sanyo would release a bar phone upgrade to the 4920 with a TFT screen. No such luck. I would have gladly traded my flip phone for that combination. Sanyo, when will you give us that better display in a bar phone? You put a TFT screen in the RL 7300, why not the 4930? Neither of them take pictures, both of them display them. Why one and not the other? Ugh!
