Nokia 6061Program to use cable to computer

I bought cables from two different companies to attach my Nokia 6061 to my computer. The cable and the drivers seem to work but all of the programs that I've used don't recognize the 6061, not even the Nokia suite.
Is there any program that recognizes the 6061?

Thank
Bob

Nokia 6061, MP3 ringtones with data cable

I purchased an aftermarket data cable for my 6061 and was wondering about some good software to transfer an MP3 ringtone to my phone.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if I can look at the spec and be able to tell if 2 handsets are equivalent in terms of running the same java app. Because I am thinkign about buying new handsets but I have some old java apps that I want to move over to the new handsets. Even better, maybe some one can give me a list of equivalences for both the Nokia 6061. hehehe~~

Question about adjusting volume

I have a question for anyone that owns this phone. Can you change the volume of the earpiece WHILE you are on a call and AFTER you have pushed a number button? For example, if you call an 800 number where you press 1 to hear options in English, can you still use the directional pad to adjust the earpiece volume after you have pressed the 1 key?

I made a couple test calls with one of these at a Cingular store, and it seemed that I couldn't adjust the volume while on a call after pushing a number key. I found the range of volumes to be quite good (despite the complaints) but I did run into this issue when trying to adjust the volume. thanks for any replies.

Here's why the low call volume

Just to let people know, the reason for the scattered complaints about call volume (on the 6101/6102 as well) is because the earpiece has a single tiny little pinhole opening for the speaker. Most phones have much bigger and widely spaced openings.

This single pinhole opening will frequently be pressed against the folds in the pinna of your ear, therefore the hole plugged up and you can't hear. I had to constantly be repositioning the phone against my ear to hear.

This is highly variable from one person to another.

This is why I had to return the phone.

Nokia 6102 RF strength and volume control

I'm very interesting in buying this phone and since it's still not available at my local Cingular stores I thought I'd see if anyone on her has used or bought it.

I currently have the nokia 6102 which I'd like to replace for this phone (mostly due to looks).

Can anyone speak to the signal strength on this phone? I've heard bad things about the reception on the 6102, but I've had no problems as of yet (it it as good as the SE z520a I traded in for it), so I'm just curious if this one is comparable or any better.

Also, does anyone know where the volume controls on this phone are? I can't see them in the photos and it's not addressed in the user's manual I downloaded from the Nokia site. I think that'd be rather odd for a phone not to ...

Maybe a good replacement for the V180??

If Cingular carries this phone it could be a good replacement for the phased out Motorola V180. Hopefully more reliable though, in true Nokia fashion (excluding the 6230 of course).

i like it

i think its a nice entry-level (free-phone) 🙄 .even though I'm not an entry level user. i see nokia taking the free-phone reigns again. thats if cingular gets it.

Simple, refined look

And definitely a good replacement for the v180...if that's the intention. Is that little bar on the exterior a window for a LCD?
