Ok...love the treo and moving from sprint to verizon and wondering if the 8700 w/evdo will be available or is the 7130 the way to go - i can wait until june-also...lotus notes on the BB - does it sync easily? Thanks all!

can I use the telus or bell versions of this phone on verizon?

What is this BB messanger service? I have heard it is a free service with the 7130e where you can message back and forth to other BB devices. If there is such a thing, can u also get it for the 7250? And how would I go about getting it?

One of the strengths of the BB for me has always been that when you place it in its holster it knows and goes into silent mode. It looks like the 7130 comes with a dumb holster, and that this feature is no longer available, true?

I am thinking about getting this phone, because of its email capabilities. The only thing holding me back right now is the expensive data plans. I would be reading and writing emails frequently throughout the day (I do not plan on browsing the internet much on the phone). I will not pay $45 dollars a month for a data plan...too expensive, but I am thinking about getting the $25 data plan. Any suggestions about how much 10MB will get you, as far as email everyday and limited web browsing.

Also, if the 10MB data plan isn't enough, is the unlimited VCAST plan ($15) worth getting to read and write email each day.

How do you use the 7130e's EVDO connection for your laptop. I can't find any simple instructions to use the phone as the internet connection for my laptop. Thanks for any help.

When I sent an SMS the other day I noticed right above the "checkmark" there are was a little "D". Does anyone know what that may be?

Is there a quick vibrate mode on this phone? I know if you hold the * key it will lock the phone. Is there a way to change the phone's profile to it's vibrate profile?

I changed mine and just want to reset the default.

I can't decide if I should get the 7130e or wait for a cdma 8700 to come out for Verizon. Has anyone heard about any other new cdma phones coming from blackberry?

For those of you who have already received your 7130, I'm curious if it is possible to lock the keypad. And if you can't, how sensitive is the keypad to accidental calls while the phone is in your pocket?

I was in a verizon store today and a rep was helping me decide what phone to purchase. When I was looking at the Blackberry 7130, he told me to wait until January b/c Blackberry was coming out with a new phone and it was going to be sleeker and thinner than the 7130. Does anyone know if this is true? 😕

I just got my 7130e and while playing the brickbreaker game, the phone completely locked up. Anyone else have this problem?
