Does anyone know if this phone's speakerphone is Half or Full Duplex?

Is there anyway to save a sent ringtone as a ringtone instead of a sound without purchasing thru verizon. I know this is a newer phone, but hopefully somebody has a work-around or something that I may have not tried. thx in advance

I bought this phone on my new-every-two plan. It only cost me shipping ($13.95) after the rebate. I bought the phone because of the Micro SD Slot. I also bought a 512 MB card and it hasn't arrived yet from an on-line retailer.

This phone has great sound and reception. It holds the call through the areas my LG 6000 would always drop, and I mean always. I would tell the person on the phone "I will call you back after I get past this area" then the phone would die. The CDM 8945 hasn't dropped a call in the first month.

I really like the larger feel of this phone. It weighs more than my past phones and this also make it easier to hold. The really tiny phones cramp my hand and always put a crease in my ear. I am usually tal...

I am trying to decide whether to get this phone and there are not a lot of reviews on it. How is the reception on this phone? Does it hold calls well? I live in northern Vermont. The Motorola 815 has the best reviews I've seen as far as reception is concerned, but in my experience Motorola's have software bugs. Would you recommend the 8945 based on reception and audio quality?

I looked at this phone at the Verizon store. Sure it does have a unique black housing, but overall it feels very cheap. The green backlighting is rather poor, the outer screen is stuck with the Verizon logo. It does have V-Cast music and some other nice features but when compared to other phones, the price is not at all warranted. The E815 which is a vastly superior phone is $70 cheaper right now. The LG VX-8100 and Samsung A950 have V-Cast music, alternate being cheaper than this phone, both are better built, and have more features than this one. Sure the 8945 might be a decent phone, but for the price I can't see why anyone would pick it over the Motorola, LG or Samsung or even the older more feature rich 8940 on clearance for cheaper.

I hate to be a bother, but does anyone know how to setup free web on the CDM8945? Using ##BROWSER does not work. Thanks.

Does anyone know can you get ringtones doing the vzwpix on this phone or did they disable it.

Well. I am sure you are see a lot of complaints about this phone not having buttons on the outside. Wahhh!!

This is an entry level phone with EV-DO and VCAST capablilities.

This is not mean to be a direct competitor with the VX8100 or the A950 in my opinion. It is just a more affordable EVDO clamshell.

Sure it would be nice to have buttons on the outside to play music files. But the E815 doesnt have buttons on the outside and it plays MP3's. Get over it.

It's all about choices and I am sure that there will be a market for this phone and it will do quite well.

This phone is alright...for the price... it has a plastic cheap feel....

this phone is horrible!! its buttons, the whole button, not just the #'s are GREEN 😳 the phone is very light and cheap and the hinge wiggles. the camera is about the same as the lg vx5200, wich is a better phone in every way. i dont see very many people buying this phone.

first comment woooo! this phone wouldbe better if it had some more powerful features. because it lacks the power that i lookf or in a phone i will not be gettin this.
