Nokia 9300 "Program closed"

Today I had cingular on the phone to replace my Nokia 9300 for the second time. I bought the first one in April 2006 and about 30 days later, it was showing a "Program Closed" message:

Program: bbRIMSvr
Reason Code: KERN-EXEC
Reason number: 3

They replaced the first phone because it would never come out of that message. The next phone they sent me started the same problem about 2 days ago with the same message. The only difference now is if I remove the battery (because the phone locks up) and replace it again, the phone starts up very sowly.. about 10 min from the time I hit the power button until it shows visable screen. The massage has appeared about 6 times in the last 48 hours. Nothing works until I remove battery and start...

ATT Disables the 9300

I have two accounts with Cingular (now ATT), recently (around the end of March) I received a update from ATT/Cingular. My phone (California Cingular Nokia 9300) characteristics changed immediately. Home screen now has ATT (I don't care about that), but the Bluetooth remains on ALWAYS, you can manually turn it off and the phone will re boot and Bluetooth will come back on. Also, the phone will re boot on its own... Full Reboot... Called Cingular/ATT, they sent me another 9300 (Warranty), it does the same thing, they sent another, does the same thing... Now they sent me a Nokia E62... Now my other account (Cingular Florida Nokia 9300) was working fine through all of this, but it has now suddenly received an update from ATT and it does the same...

Here's a weird one! Please help?

Hello, I am just about going crazy with this problem!
I connect online with my 9300 via GPRS. About three months ago it started hanging, and I would have to re-boot. By hanging I mean that if you look in the 'connection manager' instead of the familiar "there are no active connections" it just reads:
Received/Sent
0.00/0.00
Duration
00:00:00

...and just stays like that. The only way to get a connection is by re-booting. So as I use this for email and am out and about all my work days, I am re-booting constantly. This is very annoying, and I can't seem to figure out why it is happening. I've emptied the cache, I've tried other programs like google maps and opera browser, all with the same thing.

Does anyone have any thoughts at ...

spell checker for the nokia 9300??

Hi, I hope someone reads this forum, as I see the last post is from june 2006.

I need to know if there is a website someone can direct me to or if there's a program someone has written to do "spell check" on the nokia 9300. It's really important for my boss who needs it for doing business.

I searched for this on the forum but nothing relevant came up.

quick replies would be great.

🙂 thanks!

Should I get this phone?

I'm despreate for cingular to get off their asses and release the sony ericsson w810. I've been waiting since march. I liked this phone when i first saw it...but no camera, wifi, and vibrate features turned me off. still theres something about this phone that turns my head. I know this phone isn't comparable at all to the w810 whatsoever, but i just wanted to know if any users are happy with it. I'm really leaning towards this phone than the 8125. (htc wizard) my friend has it, and i think its kinda slow...

...anyway, i want a new phone really bad. My moto v551 is dying slowly minute by minute. I don't know if i should wait for cingular to come out with a release date or pick up a 9300...by the way, if i do pick up the 9300, it wil...

BlackBerry support for t-mobile

I have a Cingular branded 9300b which I unlocked and currently have t-mobile service. I just signed up for the unlimited BlackBerry package.

Does anyone know how to configure this phone for t-mobile BlackBerry support?

(I'm trying to go through different levels of support at t-mobile, but haven't found anyone there who can help me yet.)

Has anyone utilized any MMC memory other than the 128 Meg that Nokia sells? I am interested in 512 or greater?

Blackberry Support

I know this phone is supposed to have Black Berry connect. Does this mean the phone actually has a PIN? And does it also sync with a BES or just with the web based push email?

Also has any one ever used this in place of a Black Berry, and if so what are the biggest differences between it and a regular blackberry?

Stoopid Newbie Question about Symbian OS!

All,

Right now, I;m leaning towards the Moto Q, assuming that it comes out in the next 60 days (I'm in the V710 Settlement).

Just saw this baby - and, although it doesn't have the Q's form-factor - it looks sweet.

Been looing at mostly WM5 phones - not Symbian. Does this phone run Series 60, or Series 80 programs? Also, how does it compare to WM5 in terms of stability, memory usage, whatecer.

TIA

Conspiracy Theory

. . . this phone has been on the b2b price list for Cingular since October, and I wasn't sure why it wasn't released yet until just recently. I was talking w/ another drone here at our Cingular hive who mentioned the RIM lawsuit, and suddenly it clicked: this phone was set to be the replacement for the BB in the event that RIM was unable to sell new devices. It's never been made active because now it seems even more likely that RIM will NOT be forced to stop selling Blackberries.

I dunno, just speculation, but whaddya'll think?

North American Tri-band in Mexico

Hi all, I may be really slow on this, but the 850/1800/1900 version of this phone is all over eBay now, coming from Mexico. Unfortunately for me, the keys and documentation are all in Spanish. So at least we know Nokia is shipping this phone somewhere. Maybe here soon
