Sony Ericsson S710a

Which would you say is better? They both have the same features... Bluetooth, EDGE, swivel design, etc etc. Except the W600a has more storage: 256MB vs. the 160MB on the S710a (internal and memory card combined), and the keypad seems likes it would be easier to text on. The W600a is a tad bit smaller, making the screen a bit smaller too, but listening to music drain the battery even with a smaller display. The design of the W600a might be for the young and "hip" generation, and the S710a seems like it would be for the more "business orientated." Please help me make a decision. I've just discovered the W600a today, and I can't make up my mind. Get the S710a for $200, or wait until the W600a comes out?

Had my phone for about a week now, when I first starting using the text msg option all was well. No when someone text's me I get 4-5 of the same messages from the same person. Then like 30 minutes later if they typed something different I get 4-5 of their next text'd msgs.

WTF is going on? Any insight or help would be much appreicated...I'm about to return my phone to cingular. 😢

I was wondering... Phonescoop specifications for the S710a said the the video recording is only limited by the memory... But for some reason my phone will only record up to 3 minutes... There is a setting called auto camera off and the longest you can do is up to 3 minutes... Is there a way to turn that off??? Maybe I'm just running out of memory, but I'm not cause I have like 10 MB's left when it stops... So.. Anyone have any idea's??? 😕

Okay folks, what headset do you have and how do you like it?

I'm stuck between the Moto hs850 and the Jabra BT800.

I love the sleekness of the Moto but the functionality of the jabra, only thing I'm worried abotu with the jabra is, that it looks huge in comparison and may not set right on the ear.

Anyone have any opinions or tried both of these?

Just hate to dump 60-100 respectivly and be dissappointed.

Can it print directly to a Canon printer, such as cp-220? or must need a computer? Thanks!

i just bought this phone today and loving it. however, i've tried to save some pictures (jpeg) from my computer onto the memorystick and when i plug it in, i can't seem to find it.

also, i can't seem to find how to access files in the MS. and to turn off the phone.. do you have to open it up to turn it off? or can you set a shortcut to do poweroff?

when you answer a call, do you have to slide out the keypad or can you leave it closed. also when make a call, after dialing the number can you close the key pad or does that disconnect the call.

Is there a max in memory size u can put in the phone? If so what is it?

Also... Does the camera on the s710a have zoom, because the camera, videocam, bluetooth, and mp3 player have a lot of weight in my decision. (Price is not a big deal.)

What wallpaper do you guys currently use on your phone, and why?

Sorry if these questions appear frequently, i tried searching and didnt get really clear answers to my questions.

First, do you have to have an email account with one of the three providers that are listed on your phone in order to send/receive email? I read a couple things about having gmail and others set up, but i cant quite figure that out. I was just wondering so i could email pics to myself or others.

Second, I havent played with making mp3 ringtones yet, but is itunes the best way? Or is there something better, i found a couple posts about a "ringtone ripper" and "handset manager" are those better options?

ok, stupid question, but i just bought my first bluetooth adapter and installed the software, and plugged it in, everything works, i connected my phone and computer, and i can view the phone memory and the mem. stick through the computer, but my problem is I CANNOT GET A GAME TO RUN!!!

when i send it to the phone through the computer. what i want to do, is send a game from my computer, to the the phone, and then run that game. last night i transferred a game to my memory stick, but the send option only came up. I said, ok, let's try and send it to the phone's memory. did that, and it showed up in the "other folder, with only the send option!!!

So I was talking to someone on my phone, and while we were talking I recorded about 10 seconds of the conversation. I saved the sound clip in the sounds folder, but when I try to play is I get the error message "cannot play this sound".

Does anyone know how I can play back this file?

Hey does anybody that has this phone know how easily the phone and screen scratche? I am kinda rough with them at times and the main screen being on the outside kinda scares me off a little. 😕
