Samsung SPH-A740 / PM-A740

Woah, I think samsung has fired their new product designers for this phone, and hired a monkey. The team mistook "ooh, ooh" for "blue, blue", and then the monkey made a 'funny face' at them, so they put the faceplates on it.

Samsung needs to get the guys that are designing the new nokia (nouveau chic) phones and have them do a little work over on the "a" lineup (740/760/680/660/etc). The style is outdated, and in a cost saving effort they use the same chassis as the old phones. These phones are fashionable, but in the same way that bellbottoms are/were fashionable; when they came out they were hot, but now they're not "in", we need something new (and the 760 is not the right direction, by the way)

Is this a good phone? I would like to know from someone who uses it. From my perspective a lot of people are buying them, are they really that good?

$229 pricetag, changeable faceplates, VGA camera and the new updated UI...great buy 😉

...which has assumed the identity of the a500. Geeze, they look identical.
