Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung blew it when they started playing around with the screen ratio on the S8.
Who in their right mind when 16:9 has been out for years problem free makes it 18.5:9?????
There are going to be some issues in the coming months with it. If you ask what they are, just wait for people to start complaining.

I Have both

My s8 is my goto device. Im using them on Sprint and the coverage bars are usually higher on the S8 also. G6 is a good device, just seems a lil rushed.

Here we go again with the meaningless war of words that AT&T is sure to start with the other carrier

T-Mobile has already been doing all of those things AT&T has said they will be doing but it isn't calling their network "5G". Just more meaningless marketing mumbo jumbo from the folks at AT&T.

Hopefully this covers Wi-Fi connectivity issues

I have an S8+ from At&t and I'm having issues staying connected to Wi-Fi networks, especially when using Wi-Fi calling. Anytime I use Wi-Fi calling, I get disconnected from Wi-Fi within 5 minutes. Anyone else having similar issues?

No sound improvement?

I can't believe that no one is talking about it. Does it still utilize the same speaker as the Galaxy S7? No stereo sound? Did Samsung ever tested an HTC smartphone?

Of course I'm happy that the left the 3.5mm headphone jack as is, but I was sure that in light of Apples recent sound improvements, that the S8 will have some sort booming stereo sound speakers.

Non-Removable Battery

You would think with Samsung's gigantic, costly fiasco with their last phone and their non-removable battery they would make this new phone have a removable battery. Had their last phone had that ability, they could have just sent out replacement batteries for the bad ones instead of replacing the whole phone. I guess they didn't learn. You can't fix stupid.

Samsung

Hoarded practically all the SD 835 processors just for this line of phone.
They left other manufacturers stuck with the SD 821.
Selfish.

Good for Samsung

It's distressing to me how Apple just sat on their hands with regards to voice assistance, and let Google and (supposedly) Samsung just zoom by them in this arena. Alexa is so much eaier to use and better sounding than Siri - it gives real answers and not just links to websites - and Bixby appears to be deep-rooted in the OS as well as making the SDK available to developers before launch. To me, Apple really dropped the ball in this regard.

Seems rather Cortana-like

The description in this article makes "Bixby" sound a lot like "Cortana", in that there is not a fixed, predefined set of verbal commands. Rather, "Cortana" is designed for interpreting user commands on the fly and responding as "she" (the cloud-based Artificial Intelligence servers) interprets, while "learning" adjusting in real time.

I use Cortana daily for handling text messaging hands-free while driving, plus a few random searches or navigation requests daily, and for those things Cortana works superbly. But one of the things I dislike about Cortana is that she (AI servers) don't have a specific command list, she is "fluid" and context-based, and always fine-tuning her "intelligence", and so a command that worked perfectly before sudd...
