Charging on updated version

I recently bought a Virgin Mobile version of the GS3 (L710T) and read that some GS3's charging ports are breaking easily.

Is this true? How common is this issue with GS3's?

Thanks,
Patrick

What difference does it make?

I mean, that's the day the world ends, right? A little late on the update, isn't it? 😳 😎

Verizon customers can expect the Premium Suite in the Fall of 2015, just after the SGIII JB update!

Just wow

I'm surprised they haven't added Samsung TV's to the mix. Oh wait, they only seem to be going after devices that are in direct competition with them. People can say what they want but, if Samsung wasn't their direct competitor in hardware, i doubt Apple would be doing this. At least, not on such a large scale.

What The (insert choice of explitive)!

Apple is like that chic on Maury that got drunk at a party can't remember quite what had happened and now is parading an entire line of devices, making all kinds of absurd claims, clogging up the court dockets, subjecting everyone to undue test and scrutiny just to get a check. ..

Geesh Phone Baby Mama Drama

COME ON APPLE! Is this really worth the damage this is doing to your once in foul able BRAND? Have you checked the pulse on your Net Promoter Score? There are several consumers out there that will never buy an Apple product not because of your build quality but for this court room BS..

$499

How is it that MetroPCS can sell the S3 for $499,
but Verizon wants what, a whopping $649?
That just doesn't make any sense.

Reality Check

- Metro is an MVNO
In LAYMAN's terms this means that in order for the major carriers to operate in this country as they do not own spectrum they simply lease it from the American people by proxy of FCC auctions part of THAT lease agreement is that they must allow lesser companies to sub lease spectrum from them at a wholesale pricing for them to operate ... Over simplified but due to a nasty little secret known as TOWER PRIORITY the customers of the post paid customers get priorty in airtime and packet data speeds over the MVNO customers who are paying less to their MVNO Carrier..

So, you GET what you have Paid for... So, why NOT sign a 24 month contract with a MAJOR Post Paid Carrier and get the GSIII for $99.99 (you can get that price...

Battery Dies HARD & FAST.... SLOW to RECHARGE

I am not a stranger to smartphones or the sacrifices you make to have an all in one device. I understand and have told people that just like you do not but a Lincoln Navigator for it's fuel economy you do not buy a smartphone for how well it conserves a battery but this phone is ridiculous!

BEFORE I am inundated with " BASIC Smartphone 101 replies from the peanut gallery..." I am fully aware of all the tips and tricks to limit battery usage.

Maybe it is a Samsung issue as this is my 1st Samsung since I traded my SPH A900 (Blade) , LOVED that phone HATED the battery... all it needed was a better battery, FTP on the bluetooth and an SD card slot and that phone would of been PERFECT but alas I did upgraded to a Treo 700wx in late 2006 ...

I'm entirely confused as to how this phone doesn't get slammed for its overall crappiness. Aside from the shameful garbage Motorola's putting out, I can't think of of any phone that is more exemplary of second rate build and design.

Build-
I'm not sure how this phone 'shatters' those perceptions of junky build. Look at the poor fit of the panels around the headphone jack and charging port- that this phone MSRP's for the same as an iPhone 4S or EVO 4G LTE (which was, for some reason, panned) is embarrassing.

Style-
I don't know where to begin on this. Let's talk about the fake brushed metal cheap glossy plastic, which is the same crap Samsung's been using for... ever. It scuffs like crazy with regular use and looks like complete tra...
