Can it be used in Costa Rica once unlocked?

I was wondering if this phone is compatible with frequency in Costa Rica? I know the phone has to be unlocked but not sure whats the difference between GSM and CDMA. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

retrieving data off this phone

I need to get some old numbers off of this phone, but not sure what kind of equipment I need to use it with my computer? CDMA doesn't have SIMS right so what then? If anyone is still checking this forum and knows something please respond with some kind of information.

automatic button pressing problem

I've had my samsung (sprint) sph-a660 vi660 for one year and two weeks

its been great, till last night. heres the problem i now have:

whenever i open the phone it enters in 2580 (the digits in the middle row of a phone)and volume up accompanied by the annoying 'beeeeeep' noise you get when a button is pressed for too long. it just keeps "pressing" those buttons.

i press "end" and the problem appears to go away, as everything now appears normal, until you investigate further

i can now use any key as long as they aren't 2, 5, 8, or volume up (OR DOWN, even though it enters in volume up when you first flip it open)

the problem doesn't end there:

when someone calls me, the volume up key is being pressed ceaselessly, so the cal...

Audio Quality

I'm very interested in this phone (I've got an LG5350 which has always been flakey) in large part because it is very small. I don't think I really need a camera, and I'm happy to go without to get a smaller phone.

I read rexyblue's review and got concerned. Sound quality is important to me. I can't understand anything with my 5350 if there's any background noise, and I'd really like to improve this.

Do other have the same feeling about the audio quality of this phone as rexyblue ?

Nope, no whistles or bells.

This is basically an A500 without external caller ID and a Crappy case. Why anyone would want htis phone I know not. especially for the price. It even has the same internal screen as the A500, not the larger one that the VGA1000 And the A600 have.
And for previous posts:
You have always been able to change the setting on all Samsung clamshell phones to answer by the talk button only, by any button, or "automatic" by flipping the phone open.
