The only sound they'll hear is crickets chirping...

Really? Licensing webOS? For who? Why? The 6 people worldwide who use it? Does HTC or Samsung want like 3 of those 6 annual sales? Good Luck HP!

Webos phones are a joke

I'm not surprised its free at BB but it came a lot sooner, I was expecting at least 2 months max. Now Webos devices will have a reputation that if you wait a month or two it will be free or dramatically reduced in price...lol Webos phones are a joke. 🤣 😁 🤣

$99?

Lets see what AT&T offers for $99 ... HTC Inspire, Samsung Captivate... What about $50, Windows Phone 7 (Focus, Quantum, Surround) and BlackBerry Torch. Good luck with that, HP.

I was told I can drive to a conference about 2 hours away from where I live and get this phone for free ... I decided not to.

Seriously, it's a cute idea of a phone for the Smaller-is-better crowd (aka 13 year old girls) ... but it's not worth the extra 25 bucks minimum 2GB data. To put it a different way, I would have trouble selling this as a quick messaging or prepaid phone for $99. 😎

3G data?

Can you double check your stats? According to AT&T and FCC this device is HSPA+ ready (4G ish) at 14.4. Can you please confirm which is correct?

Who wants a "smallest" phone these days?

A phone with a bigger screen that you can actually SEE things on, in my opinion, would win hands down over this in any scenario.

It was on my carrier Sprint. And I cant believe they did not include a flash for the camera=Fail. Even the Pixi has one. That's a must for me now. Guess ill be sticking with my Pre for a good while. Hopefully something I really like is avail when I can upgrade.

HPalm

Way to go HP/Palm. These products will be a hit. I can't wait to see even more phones, tablets, etc., using the WebOs platform.

HP WebOS

Everyone forgets how long it took Andriod to be what it is now and you can thank Verizon for staring their Driod campaign if not iPhone would still be ruling.

Anyway this is a great OS, those who don't agree are already use to their Android or iOS platforms and don't think anything else is better. Everyone like something different that's why competition is good, they keep everybody on their toes!

If it wasn't for Palm when it came out with the Pre no one would of been looking at multi-tasking (which WebOS still does best), Touchstone (wireless charging) every battery company is trying to come up with one, cards look at Honeycomb and Playbook how they design their OS... can you really say WebOS is crap when so many other companies are ...

no flash on the camera=fail and I dont like my phones too big but this is just too small like credit card small come on that is uncomfortable to talk on. I don't think hp is making strong enough moves here to thrive

Palm Pre1,2,3,4,5??

Every review I've ever read says the biggest downfall of webOS is NOT the software, but eh HARDWARE. EVERYONE thinks it's hideous and ugly.
A smaller pile of dog sh*t is still a pile of dog sh*t.

My reaction

🤣

Are they serious? WebOS ... was this the game changer? Was this the Michael Jordan of their little world? When there's 10 seconds on the clock, down one point, who do you want taking that final shot? This phone is a bench warmer. The crappiest Androids kick this phone out of the water. The Windows 7 Phones are laughing their @$$ off right now. I'll take my Captivate over this phone any day of the week. Give me a buggy HTC Surround. Anything. Just keep this phone away from me.

I will not sell this phone to my customers ... well, unless I want to overload my sales with returns. BOOOO on all levels.
