Wow

One amazing app., can't even compare Apple Maps to it. Apple made a big mistake by not including it.

When I read the title...

I thought why is Apple giving more driving directions. It might say your phone is in Antarctica! Or like a lot of Australia cases it sends you to the middle of the desert and 2 hours away from your destination!

Very nice.

I've been waiting for Facebook to do something like this. G+ has had instant upload for a while now, it was only a matter of time before something like this spawned.

android vs ios

Android:
Very Versatile
Has many options for example stock, sense, touchwiz, 4 inch to 5.5 inch screen
Has customization option to personalize your phone
4.0+ make for the most reliable and smooth experience

iPhone:
Comes in only one model per year
Very little option
Can not personalize it
same look since 2007
Sluggish performance after the next year update
higher quality apps
have to jailbreak phone to get half the app android has
cost more for unlock device

why?

Why buy an unlock iPhone when an unlock Nexus 4 cost $399. Nexus 4 beats iPhone in all areas except LTE.

Metro Areas

It could be made more evident what "metro area" means..... Its certinly not the entire market, or any portion close to it. No actual 1900 MHz coverage that I've seen in Washington, DC. Its nice to know that I can go to Falls Churth VA and possibly get 3G

Orphaned 3G Devices

T-Mobile has been in the practice of releasing devices that have WCDMA ability only on Band IV. When the GSM faucet is shut off on 1900 and LTE appears on Band IV folks are going to have a non-functional T-Mobile device on their hands.

Mind share about to increase?

Nokia seems to be taking advantage of iPhone's currently poor mapping software. This may get Nokia's Here, formally known as, Nokia Maps, a bit of a boost. Assuming, it proves to be a worthy contender to services like Google maps.

I guess, your experience will depend on where you are in the world. I hope they continue to bolster the map features and info, since I do plan on upgrading to a WP8 device.

Too bad Google relies on iOS for revenue

I wouldn't have made them $hit and ceased all development of Google apps for iOS immediately.

Wow apple,

"VirnetX is not entitled to money for things they did not invent. The VirnetX technology, if used, is a small part of very large, complex products."

Does apple even listen to the words that comes out of it's own mouth? Based on that logic, a piece of a machine or a puzzle, if it is a small piece, doesnt matter, and you should be able to use it / do what you want with it just because it is a small piece?

Let me tell you - without a piece, the entire puzzle is incomplete. This is just crazy logic here.

That Apple for you - Simple.

I don't want a simple interaface. I want a mess of controls that I don't understand. I want dials, and buttons, and sliders. I want a huge mess of an interface, half of which i'll never use. The smaller the writing and the more controls the better, preferably in a foreign language too.

If you're happy with Simple, and Easy, then I guess apple is for you.

.....and they think anyone is actually going to care or listen to them on that?

Freedom of Choice.....

Is the foundation and the basis of the U.S. Constitution.
If something like a Mobile-Communication device can not be "un-locked" to give customers that freedom, we have a serious oversight issue at hand by corporations that are simply greedy.
A prision cell one does not unlock, but a cell-phone...come on!!!!
No one get hurt except the carriers greedy pockets which already are more than filled.
