Belief Points????

Can't wait to find out what kind of stipulations there are with them getting it can pretty much guarantee apple wont let this belief points program play any role without their being some type of penalty. and what good is an Iphone if you can't travel with it. Most people get the Iphone because it is a symbol in the world. Its like saying "Hey we have the Iphone, please come buy it from us, but please dont leave our area because you will look foolish with an iphone and no coverage.

It's funny...

..to remember how certain US Cellular employees/supporters were so adamant about how it did not need the Iphone, and how US Cellular was so smart in declining it. Well I guess US Cellular finally saw how important a highly popular device really is. Losing 51,000 customers in a quarter (esp being a small company) will do that to you.

Internet congestion

Is becuase of apps like this. Something that is not required, has extremly limited functionality, but still uses video and an internet connection to transfer said 6 seconds of video.

How did this app ever get popular? I have no idea. And Self-Vines? wow... somebody in their marketing department needs to be fired.

Thanks but no thanks

Having another person, or an App suggest music to you is like a drive-thru for a fast food resturaunt recommending what you should order off the menu.

As Jack Black put it - Please don't offer me anything, I'll tell you what I want.

I have almost never found anything close to what I like based on suggestions. Probably a waste of time, you'd find more you like using an old fashioned frequency modulation radio.

Useless app

This is a useless application. 6 seconds of video? Have you ever heard of Facebook / Twitter? why not just post a 6 second video instead of using the new, useless application. Checking other individuals "vines" ? Wow... the app market is so polluted its crazy.

Yoda Vs Apple

Yoda: Infringed on our patents you have.

Apple: You are mistaken.

Yoda: NO! Forseen it I have.

Apple: Surrender or die.

Yoda: Bantha Fodder you will become.

Apple: You underestimate the power of the dark side. We shall fight in court.

Yoda: If you wish. Litigate we can. Hire lawyers we will.

Apple: We own the courts.

Yoda: Scare us you don't.

Apple: Here we go again. You should be scared.

Yoda: A bigger light saber we have. ****ting your pants you should be.

Apple: You never learn do you? We have claim to everything including the light saber you're holding.

Yoda: WTF?

This is not a new feature?

I know the article says this feature is brand new, but.. I've had this feature on my Youtube app on my iPod for quite a while, specifically for my PS3, you pair the device to the PS3, and it lets you send videos to the tv to view through that app. Or is this something different?... seems to be exactly the same.

Does it fix/address the wifi "grey out" issue?

I'll hold off on updating.

Do not install on iPhone 3G (3GS just fine)

Eventhough we don't sell or support the iPhone, i've had Two callers today with iPhone 3G who somehow installed the 6.1 update, and it pretty much bricked their device, can't even turn it on.

Jailbreak is being said to be out on Superbowl day!

Hopefully their time-frame doesn't change. 😁

The update adds LTE support for more carriers worldwide

I didn't think that the iPhone 5 had a reprogram-able radio modem, or does the iPhone already support these bands but this update just unlocks it?

Streaming Music is the way to go

$5.00 for an album? For $5 you can get an entire month of service from one of many streaming sites / apps, which would include millions of songs.

Interesting

Seems like I remember some blue coyote recently piping on about how all the best apps are on the iPhone. But once again we see Apple playing catch up.

International Roaming

Stick with the native countries own SIM. Otherwise you will feel like you got raped by a freight train when you get the roaming charges.
