Release Date - Los Angeles

I called 4 different Verizon stores in the Los Angeles area and I got 4 different release dates ranging from 1/29 - 2/1. The selling price is $139 and there is a $50 rebate. So I am assuming that by this time next week the phone will be out.

They also said that the 4400 is being discontinued.

Any info Talk / Standby times?

Hi,
does anybody have info on Talk / Standby times?
There was nothing related to this on LG's webpage (nor on VZW's for that matter)

lgs vx-4400b vs. vx-4500, or neither?

I'm trying to decide between two lg phones, the vx-4400b, and the vx-4500 which is supposed to be released at the end of the month. my main goal is to have a phone and service with clarity and quality. i like gadgets and features, but i don't particularly want a camera phone. the main difference i see between these two phones is the 4500 has a speaker-phone, and the 4400 is tri-mode. i live and spend most of my time in new york metro area, but i do some traveling to secluded parts of new england in the summers. how important is it to have tri-mode? and does anyone have any other suggestions on which phone i should get? i'm switching from sprint to verizon.

Dimensions?

Just curious to those of you who have seen/handled this phone... how big is this phone? More specifically, how THICK is it? Comparing it to say, the Samsung A530 or some of the other LGs. THis phone sounds great, Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for your help.

comparison with ........

can anyone compare the LG 4500 with other verizon speakerphones re : 1) reception (esp. in bad pockets), 2) speakerphone volume, clarity, 3) battery life, 4) ring volume, choice/quality of choices, 5) any other thoughts.
so far i'm considering the other available models : the motorola v60s and the audiovox 8600 or are any others (samsung ?) coming out soon ???
thanks, pete 😳

8900? isnt this 4500...

First of all I will tell you that if anyone invests their money into an Audiovox phone they are an idiot...Audiovox has made the worst phones ever...when it comes to user friendly...they are aweful...when it comes to quality: terrible (especially the speakerphone which is not loud at all) I can tell you now...working at a Verizon store as a sales rep...i saw more 8900's come back to the store than any other phone for that short time it was released....THANK GOD SOMEONE REALIZED IT WAS CRAP and discontinued it...the poor customers...anyways...if you are looking for quality HIGHER END LG's (6000, 4500) and Samsungs are the way to go...the 4500 looks promising...try it out! YOU HAVE 15 days!! Whether you think you have only analog signal at yo...

trried to get info

😢

I called Verizon to get information on the release of VX4500 and/or VX4600. They forwarded me to LG. LG told me that release information is not available. Ugh!!!

I am starting a new job on Monday and need to get a mobile (my last company provided me with a phone and coverage). I want to get a new phone and am going crazy. The Sanyo 5500 gets great reviews, but Sprint coverage isn't adequate for me. Anyone got any ideas?

LG 4500 Release Date

🙂
Wanted to let everyone know that the 4500 is being released on Jan. 29th by Verizon. I had a chance to see this phone in a demo by LG (the mfr) and it is a very cool phone. the speakerphone is unbelievable and the "driving mode" is sweet. When in driving mode and recieving a call, the phone will ask you verbally whether or not you want to answer the phone. The color screen has the same great clarity as the 6000 too which is nice for the games.

reception ?

😳
I too wait eagerly for this one, from Charlotte, NC My concern: my home is in a bad pocket of reception. I've tried the motorola v60s, and audiovox 8600. Just need slightly better reception. Using the Verizon network. My search has been for a good reception, speakerphone, and easy to read display for my 49 y/o eyes. All input welcome. Thanks.
