I'm

Tired of waiting. I have a Thunderbolt and it's rooted. I would not mind adding a Rom to it but none are available for 4.0 or above. GRRRRR

No ICS 4.0 Love for the HTC EVO 4G...

☚ī¸ Damn. Guess that's how manufacturers force the hand if the consumer into an upgrade eventhough the hardware can more than handle it..

What about Droid 3??

Typical Verizon behavior, update the newest phones, and an odd mix of older phones...
This lack of support for EVERY phone that should get this update, and your bloatware apps that you try to push on us, is the reason that people (not me...yet) root their phones.

Said it before and I'll say it again...

Glad I bought the dev device 🙄 No more of this B.S. It's freakin March and still only the Nexus devices have ICS. If you want timely updates people, BUY THE DEV DEVICE!!! "Later this year" 🙄 🙄 🙄

HTC vs.

I am a Nokia phone person but HTC from Taiwan has come well into its own in the U.S. market since smart-phones have infiltrated the scene. I have an HTC Ozone and I am more than pleased with it. It's a matter of choice and taste. Shame Nokia's presence has not diversified itself more in the U.S. They were phenomenal when more basic phones were predominant. User-friendly, durable. Hopefully they come out with more smart-phones as well.

Lacking Support

So let me get this straight... HTC has completely abandoned their not even 2 year old EVO 4G for upgrades? Have abandoned their not even a year old Glacier (MyTouch 4G) for upgrades, and is favoring the Sensation line up OVER the Amaze? REALLY?

There is a reason HTC is not the leader anymore.

While I used to HATE Samsung, and I still wont use anything with TouchWiz, Id rather buy a Samsung phone and root it and customize it than buy another HTC phone. Why? Cause at the end of the day, Samsung is learning to support their line up longer, and HTC has discovered they dont have to....but look where it got them!

Id rather go with a company that will support updates (and yes these phones BOTH have enough space and power) than stick with ...

This is why HTC rocks!

They are much more consumer oriented in the way they unlocked bootloaders and now at least giving a timeline in their planned ICS roll out. Motorola understandably has their reasons but can they really be justified in light of what HTC is doing?

E-Mail

Just got my Incredible 2 last week. Pretty nice so far, but my biggest problem is the syncing of my yahoo and gmail e-mail. When I read an e-mail on my PC, it doesn't show up as read on my phone. So I have to read it twice to clear it out. Is that how it's supposed to work? I'm new to Android altogether, but my windows mobile phone would sync and show my e-mails as read no matter where I read them (PC or on the phone). Anybody?

My long review

Okay, I posted this in another thread, but I really should have just started a new one. I didn't realize I would be limited to 2000 characters when posting under the Reviews tab. So I am re-posting my original review here, in case anyone who reads my short review wants to read my full version (they can find it easier).

I have had my DINC2 for not quite 2 full days now, and so far I am LOVING it! It is very similar to the original, which as I've said before, is fine by me. It's why I've chosen to stick with HTC for a long time to come. They may not have changed it up dramatically, but it's still a worthy follow-up.
I noticed the Dinc2 has skins now, which I like because it gives you the option of having a different looking interface from...

World Clock Current Location

I got my HTC Incredible 2 few days ago. However, I just realized that the Current location set in the World Clock page is set on the America/Detroit. However, I am in Virginia now. I couldn't change the Current location to my current city. Any one knows how to fix this problem? Thanks.

What a disgrace...

...definitely not worthy to be the successor to the original DI.

With 3G only, single core, laughable internal storage, no Gingersense, and 480x800 resolution, they totally screwed this up. Consumers who want an okay, 3G, single-core solution will go with the Thunderbolt. The DI2 is a joke device. It should have been released on April 1st.

Good comparison here:

In the very near future, Verizon is going to find itself stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Dialing Alert

Just got the Dinc2 and was wondering if anyone else noticed that the phone does not vibrate when connecting a call like the Dinc1?
