HTC Droid Incredible just arrived!

Just un-boxed my new Droid. First impression is WOW! Thin and very light. Thought it would have been heavier than the Motorola Droid but not. Feels great in your hand and the lock button is on the correct side unlike the Motorola Droid. Have not activated yet due to the phone being shipped almost dead. Think this might bring some of the iphone users closer to big red. It feels as good if not better in the hand than the iphone.
Will post more as I get it setup and in motion.

Browsing and Talking

Dumb question I know, and I think I know the answer but figured I'd ask...Can you talk and browse at the same time?

should I leave blackberry for Android phone?

Was gonna get the new Bold when it comes to Verizon but specs on these phones are great & friends love them. Only concern is email: can it compete with Blackberry in speed and usage? And can you have multiple email addresses?
And I assume that an Android phone would be a much less expensive plan to the Blackberries?
Thanks!

America's Choice plan???

We're currently on an ancient AC2 plan with VzW. I know that I can keep this plan if I upgrade to a blackberry or another smart phone. But on this site:

http://news.vzw.com/news/2010/04/pr2010-04-15.html »

Under 'price and availability', it says this:

•DROID Incredible customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk and an Email and Web for Smartphone plan. Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 monthly access. Email and Web for Smartphone plans start at $29.99 for unlimited monthly access.

Does this mean that I will NOT be able to keep the AC plan with this phone? ☹️

Thanks!

The camera and your sample pics..

Thank you for those examples. The other reviews I have seen have looked horrible. Grainy and fuzzy.. One didn't even offer to show a photo taken at the highest settings. I was soo disappointed at the camera quality. But those pictures you posted were GREAT. I don't need something equal to a stand alone camera. But I think that is more than enough for what I need as far as quality..

Has anyone else heard or seen other reviews on the camera quality??

I just pre ordered one but

I'm a bit concerned about this cheap, and plasticky feel I keep reading. Is anyone else concerned that some reviews are saying that it feels less than solidly made?

Anyone holding out for the N1 on VZN?

I pre ordered the Incredible but I'm still wanting the N1 on VZN. I just like to fit, finish, look and (apparent, have not held one yet) feel of the N1.

I know many are waiting for the Evo, but are any folks here still waiting for the N1?

Incredible vs. N82/N95 (Eric or Rich)

This is really for Eric or Rich, but how would you say the camera for the Incredible compares to the N82/N95? Those are the best camera phones I have ever used and was wondering what your opinion was. Thanks, Ken

No VZ Navigator??

Why is VZ Navigator not available for this phone or, it seems, the other HTC Droids?

My local Verizon office manager had one up and running today. He showed me the Google Maps app, which can give directions but I wasn't impressed. I didn't see any way to look up anything such as restaurants, movie theaters, banks, etc.

I want this phone but I use Navigator a lot. Not sure what to do.

glass or plastic?

does anyone have a definite answer to what the screen is made of? it looks like plastic but i would hope a phone of this caliber would have a glass screen since plastic is way more prone to scratches.

thanks

volume display issue

so after playing with a launch kit- when you adjust the ringer volume using the rocker on the side, the display that pops up on the screen to indicate the volume level stays on the screen for a seemingly unbearable amount of time. (way longer than moto droid). the worst part- your left hand is going to hit the rocker when texting in landscape...which brings me to another point, it only works in landscape when rotating to the left. if you go from portrait and rotate to the right, nothing happens. kinda lame.

any ideas on the volume display?

So, do you think you'll be receiving your new

HTC Incredible before 4/29?

Just asking because I sure would like to have it a few dsya earlier (so I can work with the tech at work to get it set up) and over the weekend so I can figure out how the darn thing works.

I'll be transferring years and years of Palm 650 data so it will take me a while to work out the bugs
