Evo Hard Case opinions

For those who have real hands on experience with at least one of the hard cases on the market for the Evo, which would you recommend, and which would you trash....

I'm torn between the Body Glove case at the Sprint store and the Seidio Innocase right now, but could be persuaded to another choice if there's something better.

Thx in advance,

Someone tell the idiot not to play with his phone while driving.

To the guy who didn't like the Evo because he couldn't one hand it. Most states now have laws against what you like to do. So while you are driving down the highway concentrate on the road in front of you so you don't hurt someone.

Sync Outlook 2007 with EVO 4G

Hello all,

I want to be able to sync my Outlook 2007 and my EVO 4G. I want to sync the emails, calendar, tasks, and contacts. If I have deleated an email on the 4G I want it deleated on my PC and vice versa. In the case of contacts my PC contacts need to replace the few contacts on my 4G. Same with tasks and calendar. My email comes from a POP 3 server if that makes any difference in all of this.

Now for the questions:

1. Will the built in app do all of this? When I read the instruction manual it indicates it will do contacts with Outlook Express but does not mention Outlook 2007.

2. If the build in app will not do the job I need done will the app from Companion Link do it? Here is a link to their site: http://www.ma...

Voice dial from blue-tooth headset

I read in one review of the EVO 4G that it is not possible to voice dial the phone from a blue-tooth headset. Is this true or an error in rush to get something to print?

Calendar is horrible

The calendar is still horrible. It's pretty much useless for those that travel. However, it's a google issue more so than Android.
http://www.androidguys.com/2010/01/21/fixit-google-c ... » for a better explanation.
However, I really like the phone and will probably keep it and not go back to my blackberry. Obviously, blackberry has the best calendar application ever known to mankind.

I keep searching for a better calendar app but have yet to find one...either paid or free.

EVO Battery

I personally don't have an Evo. I am an iphone user. However, both of my brothers have Evo's and I don't understand why so many people are acting like the battery is so bad. When you spend a ton of time playing games, watching video, browsing the internet, etc. of course it is going to drain the battery. The Evo is a great phone and if you get some kind of app "killing" program, your battery life will be greatly extended. All the apps running in the background after you open them really drains the battery. One of my brothers went 25 hours without a charge with moderate use (some internet browsing, probably about 30-45 min worth of phone calls, text messaging, and played a couple games) and the battery meter still wasn't in the red. From revi...

Conflicted...

I currwently have an Iphone 3g and becaue of the Ios4 update I definitely need something else. Ios4 has slowed it down to the point it is annoying. So heres my dilemma:

Do I get an Iphone 4 or do I get an HTC Evo 4g?

Give me honest opinions. I use my phone a lot. Mostly for social networking and texting. i have a lot of apps on my iphone that I love like IMDB and FML but most of what I use it available on Android as well. I know about the price difference, but Ive been paying for ATT for years so it wont be a big deal to continue. Anyway, let me know what you think.

I posted this in the Iphone4 forums too just to be fair.

Is 4 hours the longest you're getting out of your battery???

The problem Is NOT the phone but the settings on the phone. If you don't have a 4G connection but tell your phone to let you know when it becomes available it will indeed drain your battery in a matter of mere hours.

I've seen it in my store, I see it in reviews here. Task killers and closing apps isn't going to help you. Proper setting will. I can get 6-8 hours of HEAVY usage out of my phone, 16-20 hours straight of moderate usage. It's still not phenomenal but far better than what some are experiencing. Here's how to fix your problem.

From the home screen, menu>settings>Wireless & Networks>4G settings, Uncheck the 4G box, Uncheck notify me when a 4g network is available.

Thank me later.

DO NOT INSTALL UPDATE!!!

The update is bricking phones left and right. I just got off the line with tech support and they have confirmed a flaw in the update software. They say they have pulled it's availability in most markets but it still might be out there for some people. DO NOT INSTALL IT!

IS SPRINT REALLY GOING BANKRUPT?!

There appears that the Nascar Sponsor who was dying to get a hold of the rights and their name on the legendary cup series for stock cars are about to go into bankruptcy according to online reports as of late.

Is it any wonder when their fees keep increasing exponentially while their subscribers are reducing at an alarming rate due to in some cases budget cuts, coverage, the lessening of the two-way system that made Sprint Nextel what they were?

As the prices of phones keep going up with the massive unnecessary options, the plans keep getting higher and higher priced as other companies bought up their competition and have rather successfully integrated their plans with little or no changes such as AT&T taking over Cingular Wireless. ...
