over in the "HP Would Consider Licensing webOS" discussion:

The only sound they'll hear is crickets chirping...

Really? Licensing webOS? For who? Why? The 6 people worldwide who use it? Does HTC or Samsung want like 3 of those 6 annual sales? Good Luck HP!

Moving data from a Palm T/X to a Palm Pre Smartphone

I am contemplating buying my first cell phone. (Yes, I know, I'm behind the times!!!)
I currently own a Palm T/X PDA that I have used for about 3 yrs and which has a huge amount of info in it . . .besides my contacts and info in my calendar . . .my memos, a data base of my research, excel spread sheets, a dictionary, etc. Some of the info I have in it is in the "hidden" mode.
The memos, the data base of my research and the excel spread sheets are the most important things that I have on the T/X that I need to keep in tact. And I need all of the info with me . . on one device which is why I am interested in a smart phone. I rely on the T/X all the time.
I have all of this data backed up on my laptop via the Hot Sync capabilities of the...

YES YES YES YES!

Finally a GSM version for the Palm. I had at&t with the iphone and switched to Sprint to get the pre and there was no going back from there. Palm Pre best phone out for people who really like phones and don't wanna be like the rest of the crowd with an iPhone
