I got it !!!

I just purchased the Jack this past Friday. I was formally a Blackjack 2 user. I had done my research. Ignoring everyone suggestion about getting an iphone (don't care for it) I chose to stay with WinMo. I have been using WinMo since the AT&T 8125.

Besides the Jack feeling sexy in the hands. Physically the Jack is a huge improvement from the Blackjack 2. I was worried about the keys being so close together. But the keys are raised so feeling out for them was no problem. I actually love its keyboard.

With its fast processor it blazes. Windows Media Player no longer does that long pause when going from track to track. I love the message ticker. Very helpful when wanting to read the message rather than going into messages like ...

Questions before I buy

I've narrowed it down to a couple phones, this being one, but I can't find the answers to some questions. I'm hoping an actual owner/user and tell me.

1. Does this phone have T9? If not, does it have any predictive text?

2. I see that this phone has PC sync - is this just for files or does it actually sync contacts, calendar etc? If so, is it with Outlook?

My other consideration is a Pixi - I know it does not have T9 but I believe it syncs with Outlook. The Jack seems to have a better camera and a couple other features so I'm very anxious to hear the answers.

TIA!

Trying to decide between Jack & Impression...Please help!

Hey! As you can tell from my user name...I can never decide what to do! LOL I currently have the RAZR V3xx. I am eligible for an upgrade, even though I have been quite satisfied with the phone I have! I need help and advice when it comes to choosing between the Impression and the Jack. I think I need a PDA for what I want to do online and such, but have gotten different stories on what phone does what. Here is what I want more than anything... I want to be able to view a and any web page on my phone as you would see/access it on a computer. Some have told me that the Impression will only give me the mobile versions, others have told me that it will give me the full. Been told that the Jack will give me full but not near as detailed as say th...

Availability of different colors???

My wife and I currently both own BJII's. I have the black one and she has the red/maroon one. She wants to upgrade to the Jack and I'm thinking of the Blackberry Bold. However, I like my BJII a lot and would also consider a Jack if they offered a second color. I know that I could get a different color skin/cover, but I really don't care for them on my phones.

So, does anyone know if they will be offering another color anytime soon???

Samsung Jack Vibration Glitch?

On July 31st, I upgraded to a Samsung Jack. The next day, I began having issues with it getting stuck on vibrate. I would get a text message and it would play the text tone and vibrate, as I have it set to do, but instead of stopping the vibration once the tone ended, it would just continue to vibrate. And it wouldn't stop until I got to it and pressed the end key. I figured it was just a random occurence, but it did it again...twice. In fact, I got a text message once and didn't get to the phone for around fifteen minutes. It vibrated the whole time, running down a good chunk of the battery.

So, I exchanged it for another Jack. This one seemed okay, but the same day I got it, it did the vibrating thing as well. And so far it's done ...

Remove email contacts?

Does anyone know how to remove all of my email contacts? They downloaded on the first sync before I could change it to phone only numbers. They are a real nuisance.

Jack - First Impression

I went in to AT&T this afternoon and found the Jack in stock, and since I had researched the phones in my price range, I decided to give it a go. I'm new to Windows Mobile, coming from a RAZR V3xx (which I love), so it's going to be quite a learning curve. I like the look and feel of this phone. It fits nicely in the hand, it's got a nice screen, and I'm starting to get the hang of the keyboard.

I do have a concern, and it's the call quality. I have a full set of bars, but I find the volume during a call fluctuates almost rhythmically, soft-loud-soft-loud (including while it's ringing). I'm not losing any signal bars, and the fluctuation happens on the handset and via the bluetooth headset. My RAZR is just flat-out loud, so this seems we...

GPS through contacts

I would like to be able to go into Contacts and be able to "Get Driving Directions" through a menu choice. That would then link into GPS and get ATT Navigator engaged with the address of the Contact I selected. The BlackBerry does this and so do other phones.

Why is this a problem!! It is sooooooo simple.
