Largest usable SD

Hi folks,

Anyone know what is the largest microSD card that can be used in the 8820 (AT&T)? I am thinking of buying an 8 GB one... But I had many devices in the past that can only handle 1 GB ☚ī¸

Thanks in advance,

BB 8820 WiFi Connectivity w/o data plan

Does anyone know how to get the Wifi on the 8820 to connect if you don't purchase the data plan. When I bought the phone AT&T failed to advise you needed the data plan to make the wifi work. They offered me a lowball adjustment that wouldn't cover 2 months of data plan. Thanks

Photo Timer?

Hi a friend of mine just got this phone and she was wondering if there was a timer option w/the camera? She has searched for it and hasn't been able to find it? Anyone know if it actually has it?

Question: WiFi for Calls?

Anybody had any experience using the 8820 in hotspots for making/receiving voice calls? The sales guy in the AT&T store insists that the WiFi feature is all about being able to download web pages faster. As he put it, "Why would we be selling phones that let you BYPASS the voice network charges?"

Compared with 8320

How does this compare with the 8320? Is T-Mobile still expected to get this and if so when?

If one does not subscribe to HotSpot, will it still use WiFi for browsing?

Can it be used for WiFi Calls such as through Skype?

Request

Since this is just a slight upgrade to the 8800 can the owners of this bad boy explain how good/bad the GPS and wi fi is? Cool.

BB 8820 on AT&T Part Deux...

I'm begging someone that works for AT&T to comment. Please. This is scandalous. RIM should sue AT&T.

Steve Jobs & Apple have the proverbial gun to their head, with their finger on the trigger, should AT&T do something as stupid as release a phone that will totally undermine the sales of the precious iPhone. The idiots that run AT&T should be embarassed.

Don't they realize that NO ONE is going to buy the thing as a phone now?

It's the APPLE iPod Touch. AT&T just lost a huge revenue stream. No one needs them now. They can buy the thing from Apple direct.

Fools. Apple schooled them badly......

BB 8820 on AT&T?

Anyone know the release date? I'm due for an upgrade now and don't want to waste it on the 8800.

I've heard speculation about this week. True??

I believe this will be at T-Mobile at the end of Sept.

Whether or not it is the exact model but Tmobile will be launching a phone calling it theCurve in Sept with wiFi, Camera, Media player and all.

Why does it have everything but a camera?

I am really interested in getting this...i guess sometime in Aug. Or early September, but the only sad thing is it does not have a camera. I am thinking that it has everything else except a main feature of many Phones. I guess BB has only came so far?? 😎
