What's up with the lack of memory??

I can't understand why the old MDA had 128MB of memory, the SDA has 64MB of memory, and the new, fancy Wing only has 27MB of memory!! I would buy this phone right now if it even had as much memory as the SDA! I have an SDA now, and I have run into a few problems with not having enough memory. Why did they go backwards on that? The new iPhone has 4 or 8 GB. All memory capacity on new electronics is going up - why not in this case? Seems like they cut one corner too many here. Has this been a problem for anyone? I know you can put a memory card in, which I have, but you need more basic memory for the phone! UUGH!!... 😕

Help! $5.99 Tmobile Internet plan?

Hi, I've asked all over the place and haven't gotten a straightforward answer. I am planning on getting either the Wing or the Dash and right now I am confused between the $5.99 internet plan and the other expensive ones.

What CAN'T I do on the $5.99 plan that I can with the more expensive ones?

Can I still access Yahoo, Google, and other common sites with the $5.99 plan? If so then why would anyone get the more expensive plan?

Also will I be able to check my email under the $5.99 plan? According to T-mobile's website it says that I can which makes me ask the question again, why get the more expensive plan.

For me I don't really want to "SURF THE WEB" on my phone, I just want to be able to check my email, get the weather, or s...

8525 vs. Wing?

They both look good to me. I'm considering getting one of these on the side as a GSM device, but which is the better of the two?

Garbage

How could anyone buy this? I dont get it.

WOW i cant beleive anyone would buy anything with Windows Mobile on it. its horrible, slow.

I had the Dash and the old MDA...then i tried a Nokia E50...all i can say is once you go nokia you never go back!

Oh and the reason i didnt want the Wing is because id rather have a brick in my pocket.

This can do nothing more than the Tmobile Dash people (besides the touch screen)

Same Cpu but bigger

They say it's slow. Does anyone know if it's faster than the 8525 for cingular even though they run on a different os?

Wing IM issue

I posted this over in the Wing forum as well.

When I was playing with my store's demo I had a problem with not being able to close the IM program from the task manager on the home screen. It eventually stopped responding. After playing around I discovered another option kind of like the processes tab on a PC's task manager that allowed me to close out the IM program.

Did you play with the IM program and if so did you have the same problem?

Wing IM issue

While playing with my store's demo over the weekend I found that if I started the IM program that it would stop responding if I tried to close it using the task manager. I figured out if you go into the task manager there is an option for running processes, just like on the task manager on a PC, and you can close it that way.

I'm not sure if this is just an issue with the demo we have or if it's an issue with all Wing's. We shall have to wait and see I guess.

I think I will stay with my Dash

This still seems too bulky and the slow processor is a huge turn off.

Sliding Keyboard Turns on Screen

Just as a correction, the T-Mobile Wing is NOT the first HTC devices where the screen turns on when the keyboard is slid open.

My 6700 does this "feature." Just wanted to let ya know! 😉
