Motorola KRZR K1

OIn Phone Scoops phone info page on the KRZR it says supports ringer profiles - yes. I have the Cingular blue version and I've been unable to find ringer profiles at all. Any help is appreciated.

I have a Krzr k1 and I sended a text msg a while ago.

I sended to somebody which wasn't on my stored on my phonebook.

I noticed that when I entered the number and sended the msg, it got stored above the phonebook list.

my question is... can i erase that number from there??? I've tried everything but it doesn't let me....

It keeps recording the numbers there everytime I send a new msg to a number that it's not stored.

Anyone know how to unbrand this motorola krzr K1 from Rogers...trying to get rid of this annoying music software...

Is there any way to keep the backlight on when this phone is open? I've tried setting the display timeout and the backlight times, but nothing changes. It stays on for about 20 seconds regardless of what I change the setting to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can anyone out there tell me how to set a mp3 as my ringtone. I have sent the mp3s over to the phone using motorola phone tools, but the KRZR doesn't seem to have the option of selecting them as a ringtone...my old razr could do this so I just thought this one would too. Thanks for any help.

Need help desperately!! I just bought this phone from China and upon turning it on for the first time, the screen flashes white and then back off and it continues to do this. Has anyone else had this problem? What do I need to do?
When I try to power it up with the button it starts to turn on and then flashes off all of a sudden. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this is normal, but my krzr is holding up to about 20 some texts. I can't find any information on the normal amount that it's supposed to hold, so I have no idea. I just got it today.

Any help would be appreciated.

This phone has been around for a year now, does anybody know if there is going to be a new model soon? I'm looking to upgrade my wife's phone, but would rather wait if there is going to be a new model of the KRZR.

Hello. I had a Samsung Sync that unexpectedly quit working on me not too long ago. I'm now using a family member's backup phone and I'm thinking of getting the KRZR when I can upgrade. My question is if those who own the KRZR recommend it for someone like me: take the occasional picture, use the calendar, have small and petite hands, make telephone calls, quad band a must. I have had Motorola phones in the past and have HORRIBLE luck with them: V600, V180, V190. I am interested in trying Motorola again. Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you.

hey i got my phone from eBay and it came from Hong Kong. Its good and is in English and everything but the hardware on the phone is still from there so i cant set it to send picture messages or go on that WAP thing. I tried making new MMS settings but it just doesn't have the right web sessions. I think i need to install Australian hardware but i don't no how or where to get it. Can anyone help please.

I have a Motorola KRZR K1. When I put it on charge, it makes the sound that shows that the charging started and the Charging Battery not comes up on screen. After a few seconds this disappears (like when the mobile is off) and after a couple of seconds it starts charging again.

It does this continuously when the charger is connected to the mobile. Can anybody help me cos this is driving me crazy! Thanks 👿

I have always used my phones as my alarm clocks. I just got the KRZR a few days ago and am having problems with this function. The 1st morning, the alarm went off, no problem. I played with the phone all day so I charged it that night and the next morning the alarm didn't go off!! I checked the alarm settings and they were fine, and the next morning it went off again, no problem. I charged the phone again last night and, you guessed it, it didn't go off again this morning. Is there some weird glitch to where recharging turns off the alarm? When I checked the alarm settings after recharging, it didn't say the alarm was disabled. Can anyone help me? I'm not too 'krazy" about this phone to begin with, and this is soooo frustrating I'm...

Is anyone else having the same problem as me? I went to chicago a few weeks ago and my krzr started acting very strangely...the itap is extremely slow so i basically end up typing up the entire message before it shows up on the screen...any suggestions?

I had a simple mission. One that Motorola said was possible on the website for the KRZR... To be able to sync my phone list and calendar from Outlook.

I have a PIM and I am so tired of that huge monster. All I wanted to do was have a small phone with a contact list, my calendar that I easily kept synced with my outlook. Any other features were gravy.

I rejected all Windows Mobile phones, because windows is tolerable for a PC, but stinks on a cell phone. Size was also a huge factor for me. I simply want a phone that I drop in my pocket and it disappears till I need it.

So, I got by K1, and the Moto Phone Tools.

After 2 tries to get it installed and talking to my phone, I succeeded. After 2 more installs, a email to tech supp...

I noticed on the info of the phone it had some models having the PTT function? I was wondering if anyone has had this be the case with there's? I've never heard nor seen any mention of this anywhere except phonescoop. I even called and spoke with a couple of people from Cingular themselves and they say they had never heard nor seen of that model having that function?

I am a seem editor and firmware addict for any of the razr series phones, but never in all the motomodders or motox forums has anyone mentioned this either...

So anyone with any clue for my fiance has a PTT CU400 and I'd love to get this to work for the K1

whenever i try to send a normal text message, i go to messaging and press "create message" and then at the top it says "SMS" and then after i'm finished typing the message, i press "send to" and at the top it says "Send To MMS" and it sends the message as a picture message. does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? Is there a decent site where you can download FREE games for the Krzr K1. Every game I have found so far that is "free" has to access the internet to PLAY. I have never seen such a thing.They say free games and I install them then when try to play it says it has to access the internet. I don't have a data plan at the time so obviously this game will NOT be free. Any ideas? I am sick of playing the one game that came with the phone.

When I take a picture it's upright in the phone. When I send the picture to people or upload it on my computer, the picture is always to the left. Does anyone know how to fix? I called motorola and of course they were not any help.
