I use a calendar on my cell phone ALL THE TIME but I have had the most issues with the Samsung 740. It will randomly choose one or two entries and send reminders every few minutes. The most annoying thing is that the entry is FROZEN on the phone and you cannot delete it from the phone. The ONLY option is to erase the ENTIRE calendar.
I have had 3 different phones in this model. Taken back for various reasons. They ALL have done the same thing! But when I tell the Verizon people...they just give me another phone! I want to know how to fix it!

I like mostly everything else about the phone.

Anyone having trouble with the phone connecting to 3G service...I just found a code to enter to put it on GSM...boom, problem solved, finds service no problem...when on Auto or 3G...searching... and never connects...new problem, started saturday, had the phone since January. AT&T sent a replacement on Tuesday, worked great until this monring, then it did the SAME THING..

AnY ONE have similar issues? 😡

My phone automatically changed time with the daylight savings as it was supposed to until last night when it decided that it wanted to revert to an hour ahead. I tried to manually change the time and it says that I can only do so when operating on an analog network. After a few hours it went back to the correct time but I did find it a bit annoying. Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea what I should do to keep myself from believing that I have lost an hour?

Anybody got the scoop?

I bought a Samsung Sync a while back. Every time I turn the phone on/off there's a swoosh sound which gets a bit irritating after a while. If anyone knows how to turn that sound off can you please tell me, step by step? 😕

My i730 phone capability will not turn on. All the other functions appear to work normally except I have an error 'Phone Fatal' ipcconf.c 2831 No free Buffer to PDA error message that appears and reappears when I click ok.

I have upgraded to WM 5.0 and still no luck. I can access wireless networks just fine and use the browser features. Just cannot turn on the phone.

Any thoughts on the error or causes?

If you know where a inexpensive one is, please tell me or show me. I've been looking for a while but can't find just a screen alone. I don't need a repair kit (unless the screen comes in one then whatever) and I don't need it professionally repaired, I just need a simple i730 touchscreen. I heard a rumor that it was discontinued, or not in production anymore, and if that's so please tell me because it would explain the impossibility of finding a screen for it.

Does anyone know where I can find BT drivers for Windows Vista to support the BT in my A920??

My Samsung Blackjack Calendard reminders/alerts are driving me nuts, unless I turn them off completely.

If I set Reminders or Alerts for my appointments in Calendar, they start going off at all different times even several days in advance.

I have tried turning off all Tasks, but the Reminders/Alerts seem to keep going anyway. (By the way, when the alerts go off and I go to turn off Tasks, the only Task showing is ActiveSync -- I wonder why that is.)

So, has anyone else had this problem and is there any solution other than not setting any alerts or reminders?

And does anyone know why if the Reminders/Alerts occur, why it is that the running Task is ActiveSync?

Heard nothing but great things about this phone. My buddy got one and I was impressed with it completely, so I got one myself mainly for the fact that it looks great and can play some of my favorite mp3's. Along with the phone I got a Kingston 2GB MicroSD card so that my Samsung T629 phone could play up to 500 of my favorite songs. Well the problem I first faced was that the phone didn't recognize mp3's encoded higher than 128kbps. A few would play with bit rates higher than that, but not most. A lot of other CNET members have had similar issues that I've read about on the forums. So to get around this, I used BlazeMedia Pro to re-encode all the mp3's I wanted to play on the phone to the quality of 128kbps.

How do you set a song of yours as a ringtone without buying it from vcast? Can you make synced songs ringtones?

Also, Is there a setting that will make the outer display light up when any of the outside buttons are pressed? (check time without opening)

I have a new verizon u740 pohone. Is a music phone as well as blue tooth I guess. But I tried to use a Motorola Blue Tooth stereo headset with it unsuccessfully. Headset worked with calls, but music would not go through. Any help on this issue out there?

Hey, just got the 620, like it a lot. Have had 3 LG's before this and a Sam before that, and all of them had the ability to 'learn' words in T9 mode and then remember them for future use. I can't get this one to learn... PLEEASE Someone help me figure this out, tell me a setting, even tell me a hack, that will allow me to add words to the minimal vocabulary of this phone... I was able to teach the speech function new words, and they come up. But I cant teach it in T9!

Hey All,

I just ported over to ATT Wireless from VZW and picked up the Blackjack. I love the phone but have been stumped on how to change the theme to one I downloaded.

For example, I downloaded a few themes from the internet. The directions say to use Activesync browse feature and copy the file to the Apps/Home folder. I attempt to do that and the paste option is not available. It almost appears that the device is locked. I use Vista.

Any thoughts? I know that other users have been able to do this.
