hate to be the bearer of bad news but launch package i have doesn't even mention mp3's specifically. it mentions just uses the word "music" also it looks like the internal 512 got bumped also. it states 64MB flash/32MB SRAM. i'm not even sure what that means but it definitely isn't 512.
on the plus side, they did officially announce july 5th as the release date for the moto e815. i'm pretty confident that the releases will coincide. not to mention they're listing two year price on the e815 is stating 149.99! with a 50 MIR that pretty sweet. just hoping the 8100 will be in the same range.

how are you getting mp3 tones on your 3200? i've tried attaching them to pic messages and such but they come out sounding so crappy.

anything you "do" on your phone uses battery life. i wouldn't use the term "waste" i agree that there isn't much market for people to use it as a replacement for their ipod... yet. a lot of people are trying to combine devices at this point. pda style phones like treo's, blackberry's, and pocket pc's are really starting to catch on because people don't want to carry a pda and a phone. i'm not sure if that will carry over to mp3 players though. people love their ipod's.
but seriously, that inability to use them as rightones is a pain.

why give people something free when they're already paying for it??? a few years ago people were saying the whole wireless industry was going to tank just like the dot coms. part of the reason they didn't is because they found tons of other ways to make money besides just phone calls. txt, pix, downloads and such. make no mistake, verizon is a business and they are here to make money.

you make the changes through BitPim. If you to I believe it's Howardsforums.com they have instructions on how to use bitpim with the 3200.

We can hope against hope that the 8100 will need a software load to lock the miniSD a la the v710. I refuse to update my 710 s/w 'cause I don't have a bluetooth BMW so there's no sense in me using GIN until I need a new game. :D
