Ok, no laughing. Ive heard enough laughter from many people already. I have a sprint phone. My policy doesnt run out till next september. I would really love to purchase a phone with bluetooth and more something like the nokia 6600 or better. Sprint doesnt seem to offer that. and i doubt there is anything on the horizon. What would you do?

Depends if you want to pay that hefty ETF. If not, reduce your rate plan with Sprint as low as you can, get the BT phone from a carrier that meets your needs, and let the Sprint phone sit, or keep it for emergencies. Of course that means a new number, but it will most likely save you some immediate cake.

Or, port into another carrier, keep the number, and they'll bill you for the ETF in the final Sprint bill.

Actually might be cheaper in the long run.
