I guess as a stay at home mom that never hardly leaves home 4 yrs is good for a I700. Although I have bought only 1 new battery, I guess that also is excellent Razz and it wasnt because it was neccessary it was because the old battery was 2 yr old. My hubby on the other hand has had sveveral different types of cell phones and we have spent numerous $$$ on replacement parts as well as phones. He is very rough on them. The original I700 he had lasted him about 3 yr but it just didnt hold up to 8 inches of water and being run over with a water truck and wasnt missed till about 2 hours later. He did find it and it was still lite and on, I say if he would of took the battery out and let it dry it may of still worked. BUT... he left it on and well... We did replace his with a used I700 that we were lucky enough to find for $40.00. The next day he droped it in the same area of water, but it survived (he pulled the battery and put it on the defrosters) like I said I dont mind paying a decent price but I just dont need a contract. And as far as being 1 of a few... by far no.. southern linc admits they have MANY pissed customers and hopes they can come up with something better for thier customer before Jan 2006. I will wait it out. Oh well I just wanted to know if there were any other pissed people like me that were online, I know there are here in Cullman Co, Walker Co, Jefferson Co and surrounding areas Of Alabama. Alot in which own I500,I550,and I700 (All are OLD phones so I am not the only person that has had my phone 4yrs, they are GOOD, DURABLE phones and we just dont want to give them up... can ya blame us?!?!) BY THE WAY... has anyone had a I700PLUS upgraded??? & Did it take the upgrade?
