As we are making the switch from Qwest to Verizon on the phone out of the clear blue sky they said "Oh by the way we have an unpaid bill from 2005 and if you don't pay it we will cancel all of your service and not allow you to switch to Verizon" We did have a dispute in 2005 over a $200 bill but it was resolved. Now when we called the right department back to fix it they have no record of the dispute or of any of the conversations.
We have received no correspondence even though they claim it went to collections and my bills are current and have been for three yours of the "Past due bill"
The only trigger here is the transfer and now they are saying it is up to me to prove them wrong. After 3 hours on the phone and now a review of my 2005 billing they "might qualify us for the switch"
Wow! I can't wait to see what is coming next. The messed up thing about it is that it is no one persons fault even though you get different answers about specific questions from each person you talk to.
Anyone know if the billing department the same or do we go from Qwest to a Verizon system completely?
