who cares who needs it, it is being offered. There are a lot of qwest land line customers that now will be able to bundle their verizon bill with the landline and save a little money every month.

last I read, Q was not losing money anymore. Helps when they cleaned house in the accounting department. But any company can start losing money, and a lot more are going to start in the coming months due to high fuel costs, people losing their jobs, ect..the future for our counties economy is looking pretty bad. But, that is another subject.

This is good for both companies, maybe qwest needs it more, so what, it will bring more customers to verizon in the process.

Sorry I meant customer losses. This will not really help or hurt VZW because they are doing well and they do not need a company like Q on their side. This might help Q’s customers though and potential ones as they can choose from a number of handsets and services whether bundled or not.

I see your point, but I still think it will bring new customers to verizon. There are a lot of people that like the one bill deal. It is not going to be a huge thing for verizon, but it helps.

So does this mean I could buy a Verizon phone on eBay and program it to my Qwest plan? It makes sense doesn't it?

That my friend is going to be up to VZW and QWEST. If QWEST desides to keep the J2ME platform, then the answer is no, due to VZW using BREW platform.

not to mention quest is hurting their stock is plumted they are losing allot of money and to go to a higher priced company would not make sense. Their best bet is to get out of wireless like embarq is doing and be done with it. Concentrate on their core business.
