Can't decide on a phone!

I will be switching to verizon in a few weeks, and I can't decide which phone I want! I was hooked on the Chocolate until I played with it at the store; now i've crossed that one off the list. I also learned about the upcoming Rizr and Slvr phones, but they won't be out in time. So I came down to the Nokia 6305i (main worry: durability) and the LG 8300 (main worry: kinda ugly for a girly girl like me).

Main things i'm looking for in a phone:
Durability
Good reception (my current phone is crap)
Texting/IM abilities (im a textaholic)
Decent looking
MP3 not a must, but nice
possible USB connection

If anyone has any input I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

i'd say 8300 for sure, although the chocolate is an awesome phone as well. why did you cross the choc of your list?

the 8300 is amazing though..great reception, speakerfone, durability, camera, keypad, etc etc.

deff can not go wrong with the 8300.

I went into a store and played with the Chocolate... i did not like the sensitive buttons. I know ppl have said that you get used to it, but i found it annoying... that's why i don't want Chocolate πŸ™‚ but the 8300 is looking better and better.

Another vote here for the LG 8300. I've tried most of the others, and none is as good as the LG 8300 for reception and call quality. The only one that comes close is the Moto V325, which is not bad.

I’ve been playing with the 8300 and think I will make it my next phone, you should reconsider because it is an awesome phone and the looks will probably grow on you. But if you really want a girly-girl phone, why not go with the pink RAZR???? This site has a ton of Motorola haters on it so you will see negatives about the RAZR posted, but I’ve had too much personal experience with RAZRs to believe most of it. RAZR gets very good reception and is super durable. I’ve read a lot on phoneScoop about buggy software but have never seen it myself.

I don’t know much about the Nokia but have found sliders in general to be not very durable.

FYI : And here I thought I was the only one having issues with Z3 Phone .

Same issues here after 3 phone replacements by them: Z3 still turns OFF itself while talking, taking a photo, video or checking messages.

It will also reboot while just sitting idle.

Ohh i havent heard anything about the 9900. can you send a link with release info/specs/pix? and how is it a textaholics dream? 😁

do you know what the 9800 is, if not just search phonescoop. The 9900 will be much smaller with a higher res camera. It will be a textaholic dream because of the full keyboard. Unfortunately complete specs and pix are hard to come by they are being hush hush on it and doing a really good job keeping us in the dark. I do know it is slated for release in September, so hopefully more info should be available real soon( within the next few weeks) But you never know for sure. I just know it sucks to settle for something and then have something cooler slide in right behind it!

Plus, why in the world does a 15 year old need a PDA?
