Hi
planning on upgrading to 1st smartphone. Right now am thinking about the S3. was a bit disapointed that Verizon didnt get the HTC One. Is there a better phone out now than the S3 that is worth a closer look ? I am not wanting to "wait until the next best thing" comes out.
Thanks for the help

S3 is *THE* smartphone right now!

Nice accessories also!
Always buy from Amazon of course,
Verizon stores are a rip off!

And people ask me why we have to charge a $30 upgrade fee now...

I was torn as well. Ask anyone on here...I have always been indecisive about what phone I wanted. I am getting the Galaxy S III when its time for me to upgrade on the 27th

Plus you have to deal with all those corporate fanboi's, amirite?

The only thing worse than a well trained, informative Verizon salesperson is a door-to-door Insurance salesman

I take offense to that. A well-trained, informative salesperson treats the customer honestly and fairly, even when it means they skip out on commission. A CORPORATE-trained, information-dumping salesperson is [insert insulting comparison here].

I've spent years trying to un-train my employees from this kind of garbage. And holy crap, it actually works! We have happy customers AND happy employees. The store across town? Fuhgetaboutit.

I forgot to put that message into the special sarcasm font. I'm also employeed by Verizon, but indirectly. I have a lot of employees that i try to teach the right way as well.

I was more poking fun at JaySchmays constant belittleing of Verizon employees as 'useless', 'fanbois' and 'biased'.

If you dig deeper you should be able to find additional humor in the fact that Jay champions the hatred for Wireless employees, then begs users such as yourself for reliable information that he just cannot find anywhere else.

TL;DR; We are on the same team, mate, i was just being sarcastic.

Yeah, I forgot the tongue in cheek emoticon on my own message. I only take offense to those who offend me.

Strong suggestion: Don't jump on a model because of hype. And don't shy away from a phone because it's inexpensive. Over the years I've found that there's little truth to the idea that "you get what you pay for" when it comes to cellphones. Try this. Go to PhoneScoop's Phone Finder. Select Verizon, available phones, 4-stars or higher. Sort the results by user rating. You might be surprised. Verizon's top 4G smartphones are currently the RAZR MAXX (4.52 rating on 25 reviews), Droid Incredible 4G (4.5 on 1 review), HTC Rezound (4.32 on 22 reviews) and LG Lucid (4.2 on 5 reviews). The Galaxy S3 doesn't even make the 4-star cut, coming in at 3.77 on 30 reviews. To me that means a whole lot of people bought the hype and regret doing so....

you are comparing a lot of reviews for the s3 to only one for the inc4g. that is not a good comparision.

I have the s3 and trust me it is better than the average rating on here. Again, that is my opinion, but ur logic was off when it comes to comparing those two phones.
