Oh..so that's what that taste is! I thought I was burping up the garlic bread from last night.
Unless they do something amazingly new to the iphone, I'd rather have the Incredible. The iphone is getting rather dated and tired.
Save your money people you don't want to be left out on the RUSH of the IPHONE when it hits!

The incredible is just a slight update to the droid.
You do realize that the Moto Droid and the HTC Incredible are two completely different phones..right? They run the same platform but they are very different phones.
I do admire your enthusiasm for the iphone.
I know it's tempting because it's a great flagship phone, and people will want to pull the trigger on it. I'm just saying stop WAIT, be PATIENT, the greatest phone in the World is soon upon us The IPHONE!
Guess what? The iPhone 4 is... a better proc, ram, camera... Oh yeah... they *ARE* finally adding *SOME* of the stuff that makes Android better.
The iPhone isn't getting a drastic change either. The OS *IS* getting some much needed changes - but that just helps it catch up: NOT surpass.
Why else do you think Apple market share has, at the least, stalled?
Old. Stale. Same. Minor upgrades "Screen, camera, CPU, ram".
*AND* Don't mind the fact that there is *NOTHING* official saying Verizon is getting it. Don't mind that at all.
Verizon will have an iPhone when they are on LTE with AT&T - and the iPhone 6 gets Unlocked/Jail broken.
And heck, even if the iPhone were coming out, you'd still want to get the Incredible now. Give the iPhone two years to catch up.
They seem to be doing a fine job of moving product as it stands.

Give up all hope.
People have been waiting for 4 years now. Get the incredible and enjoy an experience every bit as good.

without flash
You just touched on a very interesting point, in a different way albeit.
Android Phones will get Flash Player 10.1 or whatever version soon. Additionally, when Android 2.2 eventually comes out, the Flash Player will be built in is what I'm hearing from reading online. In the meantime, Adobe Flash Support is being discontinued on the iPhone.
So help me out here.....according to what some of you (i.e., Scott) on this thread are saying, the iPhone is the World's Greatest phone? How??? Especially when you no longer have Flash Support? RAM, Memory, Processor, Camera, etc are now effectively better on the Incredible as well as on the soon to be released for Sprint HTC Evo ...

Yeah well.. Sometimes the only way to get someone to wake up and see everything before them is to smack them upside the head a few times
😳 Trying to smack a drug addict around in an attempt to get them off their drug addiction is probably more of a doable task. After all, isn't that what the Betty Ford Clinic is for? 😎 🤣
In contrast, trying to get an iPhone user to lose their addiction? Well!?! Good luck with that one as they are not the most thrilled population, species, whatever on the planet at the moment with the idea that Adobe Flash support is no longer existing for them. Tsk! Tsk! Can someone please tell them that the Hallucinatory Drugs are BAD FOR THEM?!?!?! 🤣 ...

IMHO, the "new vastly iImproved iPhone is eating Droid Dirt!" 😳 😳
And that is why HTC is being sued.
🤣
While there are *MANY* reasons to pass on the iPhone - banner ads, sadly, isn't one of them.
Many of the free apps come with ads. On any of the platforms. You
*pay for the ad-free app.
*watch ads on the free app.
Either or. In most cases I've seen at least.
The only thing that's different about this, AFAIK, is it's platform supported.
Developers need a paycheck. One way or the other.
No real different than text ads on Google.com supporting the search. (with banner ads instead of text ads)
and remember, this is only the first version.
Apple does own a patent for ad supported OS that disable key features until the ad is finished.
Ads arn't the issue, but the way he presented these are.. pushing "fully interactive ads" aka, what flash ads were years ago, and most of us have them blocked. and the fact that he is making location aware advertising exclusive through the system.
I'll probably not upgrade my 3GS to OS4 until I can know it's AdBlocked then... although hopefully some of the new Androids coming out on AT&T will be worth getting.

From what I read the new OS on the IPHONE should be a lot of fun. This promises to be a great year for smartphones.
