this is an email i sent to all execs and regional presidents of verizon wireless in hopes that they would do something to right the wrongs that have been done to some of their former employees. I am a current employee at the Canton retail location in Georgia who wishes to remain anonymous. I would appreciate a few moments of your time to be enlightened about the injustices that has happened at the retail location in Canton, Georgia. Many of you that i am contacting today don't work in the south area but should know about this to protect your employees in your area from any of the same doing. I would appreciate it if after you have read this email to at least reply that you have read my email. If you feel you can go further and even acknowl...

Are you serious? Who are you? If you have a problem with the grammer then just don't read it, and leave your smart ass remarks out of it. 🙄

I agree with Midnight. It is extremely difficult to read on the eyes. If he wants the opinions of others he should repost so that we can read it without strain to our eyes.

There is nothing wrong with asking for reasonable good grammer if this person expects people to read this post.

People should not read this post anyway as it contains full names of people who may not want to be mentioned and proprietary company information. I hope whoever posted this is discovered by Verizon Wireless and you SHOULD lose YOUR job! There are many avenues for a disgruntled employee to make his/her views known within the company and this is inappropriate. The things mentioned in the "injustices" post are NOT common practice within Verizon Wireless sales and anyone with the slightest bit of common sense would know not to do anything like that. HELLO, have you read the VZW credo, did you go through training, do you know our mission statement?! You are a moron and should be thankful you have a good job with a company that is still succe...

I love how he says "Fired for improper sales". If your not doing your job correctly then you can get fired for that. It's no surprise. They were getting excellent sales by cheating, and cheating is not the way. If you support the people that got fired then you would list your name, and realize that you have a risk of losing your job because you spoke out against this issue in a public forum. Your not in support of these people because you failed to list your name. Good luck with your day job! I'd recommend saling the right way!

Not to defend anyone but I think the point that is being made is that it appears that high pressure numbers from upper management has forced some to do nontraditional sales tactics in order to meet a quota. This is common in today's American corporations that just look at there employee's as just numbers.

its 50-50 in these cases....on one hand you got the sales industry that tells you to be hungry and hustle but do it the text book way that joe schmoe came up with back in the 80's....point blank cheating is wrong but on the you cant be held 100% accountable you upper management pressures you to "hustle"....

Unfortunately this is common in a lot of stores. You need to let the terminated employees handle their problems themselves. If they go with a lawsuit, then so be it. Just sell with integrity and everything will be ok. Trust me, there is pressure in all of the locations thru out the country, not everyone will resort to these sales tactics.

To committ commission fraud is fraud. Everyone knows it is wrong. These reps could have spoken up about the wrongs being done. They did not. Sorry, but I have no compassion. They got paid for these accessories. They received awards for their deeds. They also received due justice in being terminated.

I completely agree. Considering some of the things that I've seen store reps do for commission, I feel little compassion for anyone affected by this.

I usually only browse these forums as a reader, but this time I need to speak up.

Those reps displayed obvious integrity flaws that probably didn't start or stop with selling accessories in liew of charging customers for services.

There have always been shortcuts through the system, and intelligent people manage to find and exploit opportunities like this by value replacement. Some reps sell bundles instead of fru units; some replace a bundle and waive the 50 dollar mail in rebate. I've seen reps that would discount each order .99 cents and then sell out a moto q back door just to raise their atr and these are all examples of dishonest business practice.

Here are a few ways to actually raise your ATR...

Jibbitz is the correct term, not to be confused with the mispelled word describing the delicious visceral organs of a bird.

They were terminated due to dishonest sales practices. Passing the buck along by saying you learned from so-and-so should not be a legitimate excuse.

It isn't. That's in the Code of Conduct. If a supervisor tells you to do something crooked you are obligated to report the supervisor and if you do it anyway then it is on you. Common sense.

Its very common for a company to come in and fire a whole store for dishonest sales practices. It happens all the time and more then you think.

Shame on you for useing names WTF cares about the specific people. Im in England I dont care that Joe Blow & friends lost there jobs in West Bum **** USA for being a dink.

P.S. USE SOME DAM SPACES WHEN YOU POST!

Because between that thread in Shop Talk about the guy who was transferring all the calls that were coming into him and this, I think heads are going to roll. Seriously... whether your DM tells you to do it or not, on what planet is "instead of paying a FRU fee, buy this accessory pack" something other than dishonest and a code of conduct violation? If people got fired for *not* following orders I could see your gripe but in this case they're clearly in the wrong and were dealt with properly.

You have to see this from the company's perspective. Even if these people were just acting on orders, they still had to have known what they did was wrong. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together could see that this was wrong, whether they knew i...

I do think there actions were shady. Instead of following them, these reps should have go to H.R. to cover themselves. I think firing them was harse due to they hadnt gone to any previous corrective action. They should atleast been put on a final written warning or whatever the highest is in the store channel. They need to use better judgement!

Stop responding to this thread. This guy posted the thread and hasn't responded to anything since. No use in keeping this thing at the top of the list.

And now I'll follow my own advice and stop posting here...
