"unlimited (after 5GB a month they slow your speed down for the rest of the month, though)"

WHY DO THEY SLOW THE SPEED FOR IF IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE UNLIMITED?

I was looking at VZW I dont know. I have hear about them crippling phones and that when they say its unlimited it really aint unlimited.... I do not know too many people with VZW so any helpful info would be greatly appreciative. Thank You

Verizon doesn't have enough spectrum to offer unlimited data...so you will not be able to stream video, they cripple that hell out of that features too. If you want unrestricted data Sprint is the best option.

i beg to differ from current experience. i know how bad the nextel side is but it is actually pretty good on the other side.

question for you! are the CDMA Curve's going to be duplicates of the GSM versions or are they going to upgrade the device.

I feel your pain, especially when other companies are giving truly unlimited data, for 1/2 the price.

It's $19.99 for unlimited data, but I'm not here to promote at&t. You'd really have to go with what works best for you, and who can give ya what ya need.

how are you going to exceed 5GB on a black berry? I doubt thats not possible without breaking the terms of service.

Unlimited means you can use as much as you want for 44.99(or whatever the price is) without paying anything extra.

5GB is reasonable for most people on a laptop, when you put that on a phone it should be way more then enough.

5G is a lot. Texting doesn't count towards your gigs. And if you're just doing email, you're not going to touch 5G. They're putting that limit on there for people who are streaming video and stuff like that.

There are a few individuals out there that want to do unlimited streaming of videos and movies etc. which would eat up the available spectrum on VZWs networks and would cripple customers like yourself who are mainly going to be using their phones for email or internet access etc. These practices are outside of VZWs data contracts therefore, VZW has network monitors in place who identify individuals who use over 5GB of data monthly and slow down their downloads speeds to prevent them from streaming videos. They are not charged more at all.

To put this in perspective for you, 1 GB would equal approximately 200,000 emails without attachments. Even with attachments that is an awful lot of email. So 5GB is even greater. Don't worry VZW wi...
