I wonder if the mediaplayer will be just for a VCast Client or will it do more.

Sounds sweet, but if it doesn't have a touch screen, then No Thanks.

Can't beat the touchscreen for PDA navigation.

blackberries and PDA are really two different devices...blackberries are really more of an email device than a treo or windows mobile phone.

Right, the 8800 is more or less a full qwerty Pearl. From what i've heard at Cingular, they were just waiting to see how warmly the Pearl was going to be recepted before mobing on to producing the 8800.

I'm considering switching to this device from my Treo 700w. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to transfer Microsoft Office documents to a Blackberry and then send them as attachments to an email? Thanks very much.

With a Blackberry, you can view and forward documents sent to you.

Thanks DoubleHelix. I take it from your response that I could not compose a word document on my PC, transfer it to a Blackberry and then send it as an attachment to a Blackberry email??

You can compose a document and e-mail it to yourself so it come into the Blackberry and then after that you can "forward" it to someone else but I am not certain that you can do it exactly the way you describe.

Thanks very much. That's one of the advantages of WM5 in that when you connect your device, it just looks like another folder in the explorer. This is really handy when you write something up on a plane and you want to send it as soon as you land.
