Best Bluetooth Phone

Does anyone have an opinion on which Verizon available phone would be the best to use for Bluetooth. I just got an LG 8300 and i have several Bluetooth headsets and for all of them whenever they are used the person I am talking to get echo back when they talk. It goes away as soon as I disconnect the headset. I upgraded the software to v3 but that did nothing. All I really need is the Bluetooth function as I do not use it for music or PDA. Any assistance would be great!

Ya the 8300 is pretty much the worst phone you could pick for using a bluetooth headset.

my friend who uses the 8600 says it works great. i dont know if that is the "best" though. lets see what others have to say.

All bluetooth head sets suck I never found one that worked as well as holding the phone up to your ear. I saw some fat slob the other day at the super market wearing sweet pants and a worn out tshirt, but the guy had a 100 dollar bluetooth headset and looked like a damn fool. I hate all these idiots trying to be cool wearing them and only receive one call a day if that, buy your kids some toys or take them somewhere stop wasting all your money on stupid stuff..I wanted to slap him and tell him how foolish he looks

I agree. If you want perfect sound don't get bluetooth. You should never expect too much out of it. You're always going to have not so perfect sounds... at least in my experience with different headsets and phones.

I agree that it is not necessarily the best way to go for quality but there are some situations like driving where it's handy. I'm just looking to see if anyone has any experience with new phones that work better. My old v710 worked great and I am hoping that there is another out there that works as well or better. I have heard that the 815 that replaced the 710 is not the way to go. Perhaps a razr but I have heard there are issue with battery life. Thanks again for the help!

This is exactly how people like you felt about cell phones 15 years ago. Get over it. 😉

In my experience, you get the best results matching brands of bluetooth to the phone. (IE, LG phone, LG bluetooth).

Also, Moto phones & bluetooth only work well with each other, and not well with any other brands.

I'm using a KRZR and a Plantonics Bluetooth Headset, and it works great, Better then most wired headsets and as good as the handset is.

try turning the volume down on the headset. Mine does the same thing, just have to turn down the volume. Let us know if that works. I am talking about the echo your friends hear when talking to you. I have the 8600, and plantronics voyager 510 headset, they work great. Most bluetooth headsets do not have the noice cancelling mic, I believe the motorola 700 does, but the 500 does not. plantronic voyager 510 also does.

Try a Plantronics 510 headset. I used the 8300 with that and had zero complaints. One of my sales agents uses this combination of phone and headset and it always comes through crystal clear.

I own about 6 different types of BT headsets. So far the best one for me is the nXZen. http://www.nxzen.com/headsets/

I like it because it has a unique filtering system. One mic to bring in sounds and filter it, the other for your voice.

As for design, you can either insert directly into your ear, or use the ear hook.

Regarding design, my favorite is the Jabra BT-250. I really like the behind the ear design, but it was no good in windy conditions or noisy environments.

As for a phone, I was using a LG VX-8300 and switched (happily) to an LG VX-5300. Its "old school", but I like it a lot and obviously it does have BT.

Best headset i've ever used is on the razrwires. It blows away any other headset I've tried. You may not be able to use it at all times but it works great.
