Chaperone service is great.

Verizon has expanded its phones you can use with the Chaperone service and we are now using the service to track our teen to help him make the right decisions in life and make sure he is safe and where he says he is going to be.

Poor kid. I sell this service and it's great cause I get paid for the Chaperone and Chaperone with childzone. However, it's really sad that parents can't keep track of their kids anymore. Yes the world has changed since I was a child but come on people, get ahold of your children. It's great that you want them to make the right decisions but don't piss them off too much.

Your cell phone company should not pick up your parenting slack...it's called the fear of God, learn how to put it in your children 🙂

I know has everything to do with everything, however what does fear of God have to do with parenting slack and $19.99 Chaperone with childzone?

what does fear of God have to do with parenting slacks?

Its called parents should practice good ole' day spanking of the kids.

Even better parents that let their kids run wild should get spanked.

Plus, how is knowing where your kid is prevent him from impregnating a girl or a girl being impregnanted? Your kid is at the mall. Is she shopping or meeting some sicko from the internet?

Gotta say Verizon is smart though. Definitely making money on Chaperone.

😳 We like the service and it isn't for everyone. We both work and now he knows he has to be where he says he is. The service isn't going to stop anyone from getting pregnant, lol. We did discover that he was going to a store in a bad section of town and have directed him to patronize another store in a safer area. We both work and this service helps us and lets him know we are concerned about his safety and want him to make the right decisions. He knows that when he has the phone on him we can see where he is. This may help him when someone might try and persuade him to be some place he shouldn't. The service is not 100% safeguard but it does help. Sure he can try turning the phone off or leaving it some place but we can call and c...

I am not completely aware of the service however, I'm guessing it has to do with the phones GPS tracker.

Nothing wrong with a parent using all available means to keep their children safe and to be aware of where their children are.

Besides this service is a lot less embarrassing than say having Mom show up to see if you're at your friends house; only to discover the naked sex party and keg of beer 😲

Personally I feel VZN should offer the service for free to all their subscribers.

To the original poster: Good for you on actually being a parent.

Spanking kinda is the fear of God. Either way, God or not, kids need to get spanked occasionally.

How can you judge and say we are slacking? Even the most religious teen can make mistakes from time to time it is part of growing up. We use the Chaperone service to aid us in teaching our son from right and wrong.

The parent that thinks their child or teen does no wrong is the one I feel sorry for.

ever hear of having your child learn from his own mistakes? if he's scared to death that your gonna catch him doing something, once he is older and has no awareness of what really goes on that you wouldnt let him do he'll just be worse off. let your child grow up and experience things before he gets thrown into it at a later time. also, what kind of values are you instilling in him if you're showing him that you cant trust him?

sure its a great plan for Verizon to make some easy money, but i cant say its a great plan for the actual kids being tracked and the parents doing the snooping.

jesus just let them do what they want why are you arguing about retarding stuff? if they want to track their kids location and they pay to do so then they can do it, and no one gives a **** what you think about it.

When kids stop committing outrageous crimes, shooting other kids, showing no respect for anything else in society, and start acting like kids and not like juvenile deliquents I'll listen to what you have to say.

Until then I don't care about your pie in the sky, montessori babble.

Like the Bible says, spare not the rod lest you spoil the child.

And I think this Chaperone service is brilliant, just to stay in topic.

I think thats the biggest problem with kids nowadays. Parents are afraid to punish their children. I raised a daughter, alone I might add, and she is a good kid and a lot of that has to with that fact that I never took any crap. I made it very clear to her that I am her parent first and foremost and her friend last.

I also instilled values, morality, a sense of accomplishment, appreciation, and I did everything I could to create an environment for her to flourish in. She then proceeded to be a starting striker on a girls soccer team that won the state championship 2 years in a row, she has won over 30 dance competitions and graduated 2nd in her class. Now she is in her 3rd year of college which recieved a full scholership too.

I see my statement has been taken out of context..."fear of God" is a euphemism...what I meant, in simpler, non-theistic terms, is "your children should be taught to respect and obey you and know that there most definitely will be consequences and repercussions if they do not"... and it shouldn't take a GPS tracker to make sure your child/teen is where he/she is supposed to be.

sweet... not sure if you have children but you were one. I was not a bad kid but I will admit I was not where I was suppose to be at all times. I assume the same could be said for you...come on be truthful.

My son is a good kid but we like the service so stop judging when you really do not know us.

Meaning that the Migo is not the only phone that you can use the Chaperone service on. Just about every VCAST phone has this feature, plus a couple of others as well.
