There are a few pictures and reviews of this phone over at HowardForums from people who have actually already ordered and recieved the phone.
From what i have read and seen.. here are some of the specs.
1. 3 Flash Themes. (All better than current themes on the 8300 and current Chocolate).
2. Larger Internal and External Display. (Internal is on par with the original RAZR in size but brighter and 256,000 colors. Outer screen is just as large as the old VX8000.)
3. The internal keypad lights up an almost white in the dark.. just a hint of blue.
(The keyboard also clicks for tactile feedback.)
4. Outside touch sensitive buttons light up an orangish/red.
5. Speakerphone can only be turned on after call is made.

Yep. You can also record your phone conversations now... at least that was reported by two seperate people on Howard Forums đ

I can read text messages on the outer screen of my 8100.

I know. That's why I said I can replace it. That was the only reason I hadn't upgraded to the 8300 because it lacked the ability to view text messages on the external screen.

Did you check out the phone user manual on the Verizon Link yet?? Gives you more of an idea of how the phone Operates.

but does the bluetooth work well ? I want to move out of our 8300's into 8600's if the bluetooth is resolved ? echo back to caller etc.
I hope to test this asap and I hope everyone else can start testing this as well, sounds like other features are pretty nice.. Speaker phone not being able to be turned on while off call is a bummer, I like this on the 8300

Once again I tried to order this phone 4 times today.. talked to 4 different people. LOL.
They all told me the same thing.. this phone is on HOLD STATUS until the 15th. Any that were sold or released early were not supposed to be. Oh well..
I guess I can wait a few days.

I Use the Logitech headset the black version I thinks it's called the traveler and so far so good no echoes on either end.
...
It looks like the issue with the bluetooth has been resolved I used 2 different headsets one was the logitech traveler ,the other was a nokia no problems on either end so far call are clear on both ends and there is no echo so far.
