I have a Moto E815, which I have never had a problem with. And I think Verizon's service is the best ANYWHERE!
My contract is up this coming January. And yes I plan to stay with Verizon. I am interested in getting a new phone. But 1st let me tell you what I don't need. I don't need it for music, navigation, or data. Once in awhile I might text, but mostly I use it as my only phone. (I got rid of my landline in 1996)And by the way I used Verizon while I had two tropical storms blowing 50 to 70 mile per hour winds and I NEVER DROPPED a call, WAY TO VERIZON!!!!
I am interested in getting a phone that did everying my MOTO E815 did, but can do it any better. Does anybody here have any idea what might be coming out in the next 3 to 6 ...

honestly, I agree.

Don't try to fix what isn't broken.

Sit on the upgrade. Here's why:

If you haven't made any changes to your plan recently, you may be eligible for a renewal credit. In the western states, this is a free month of service to any lines in the last 2 months (or out) of contract. Depending on your plan, this can be pretty good.

Here's the inside tip:
It doesn't affect your upgrade. You are still able to upgrade whenever you want! Wait for a phone that is a MUST HAVE kind of phone and get it then.

Basic phone with good service Motorola V325. Yes it has a camera. There aren't many "good" phones that don't have a camera anymore.

Keep the E-815, Pick up a new battery at zwireless (an ebay seller) for cheap.
I have the Razr V3M and like it, but ALL the newer phones have the Verizon user interface and NONE have a decent sized type or font to read or see that easy. The front display on the E-815 is MUCH easier to read, and the LCD is easy to read in sunlight. My wife has one. The phone is a little big for me and I don't care for the charging plug, but overall, it's the best phone out there.
I do have a spare V325 which is a very good phone, but it has the 'new' User interface which has very small type. Try making a call in sunlight driving down the road... Voice dialing works, but isn't the answer.
I would invest in the $1.99/mo and use back up assistant...

I have to agree, that inteface is the reason I'm keeping my E815. If they don't re-standardise by my upgrade date, its goodbye.

Sides, my friend seems to get better service with their D809 for Cingular here at my house. And those rollover minutes are tempting.

Dunno why VZW decided to get all propritary with their interface and technology. Sprint, Cingy, and T-Mobile seem to be keeping with international standards. They also seem to be working their tails off to expand coverage.

To me that last one just seemed highly staged and scripted.

No it wasn't. I like the company and I like the phone.
As I said before I don't work in the cell world(thank God).
I just know what work's for me.
