Here we go again, what is the stupidest thing a customer did, then there will be a post for the stupides thing a rep did...Why?? And people complain about clogging up the forum. Do a search, this has been done over and over, now you thought you had the need to start yet another one. Yawn, how boring.

Here is something to think about, for every stupid thing a customer does, we can find a stupid thing a rep, agent, ect does. Let it go.

I decided that I was wrong. There are lots of new stories. I should not be such a kill joy, joy killer sounds better, but, you went with kill joy.

I will start out with a new story. 6 months ago, 3 of us decided to check on a policy with verizon. It involved IN text messaging and whether sending to vtext.com counted as in or out of the extra bucket. We said it would be interesting of what answers we get, we theorized which answers we would get. We figured we would get 1 yes, it counts as IN, we would get 1 no, it goes against the 50 messages, and we would get 1 saying they don't know. So, we all called at the same time from 3 different phones, and guesse what, what we figured would happen, did. we got the exact 3 answers we though...

no, the one that did not know, talked to someone else, and they said that it counts as IN. So, I guess they said one of them is wrong. My mistake. But, honestly, true story.

I am amazed everyday at the amount of people that don't know their own phone number. "I don't call myself, why should I know the number"? Then you probably don't even need the damn thing!

I had a customer that brought in a phone wrapped in a plastic bag. I started to unwrap the bag and the guy says, "Ummm. I wouldn't do that. I dropped my phone in the blood vat at the meat packing plant and had to pull it out of the drain. It is 2 days with blood soak." We call in an insurance claim. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WANTED THE PHONE BACK!!! LOL I would hate to be the poor sap opening that package. I would think it would be biohazardous waste, but the insurance insisted on sending it back. When the replacement phone came in...sure enough, a return label was there.


I always like the, "I need a charger for my phone." What phone do you have? "Its a Verizon phone." Yes, but what is the phone model? "A flip phone." Ok...who mak...

Yeah, that happens at least once a day. What I get a lot is customers want to leave their phone so I can charge it for them. I use to do it then I had a phone stolen from the store and had a customer try to acuse me of breaking their display on their phone when they came back in to pick it up, so now we just say "sorry cant do it, for liability reasons". I offer to gladly sell them a cla or home charger but they want me to do it for free.

I know. That happened to me. I had a customer come in and ask if he could leave his phone so I could put a charge in it. He was from out of town and left his charger home and had an important phone call coming in later. His outlet in his car was broke and he couldn't charge it in his car. So I gave in. Later he comes back and picks it up. 5 minutes later he comes back in "pissed off" because I broke his phone. Now people can't hear him and "it worked fine when I brought it in" and "you had better give me another phone since you broke mine." I told him there was no possible way I could have damaged him phone by just putting it on a charger. He left out saying how he was going to sue.

btw, that was a bit ago and haven't heard fr...

now you are showing your intelligence. way to go. Stupid or not, I am one of verizon's customers that pay $400 a month on plans, and I am pretty sure verizon would not want a rep that is bored looking for something to do to upset me or other customers and have us go elsewhere for service. And if you think verizon does not care if you upset customers on any forum, then put your real employee ID number on your posts.

Now, lets point out that I have half way agreed with gunny here. I pointed that out in a earlier post. I even told a story of myself. I understood that maybe it is ok to do. At first I seen it as just bashing customers, then I got to think, that happens everywhere, you yourself gets bashed by employees where you shop and...

I had a customer come in smoking a cigarette! When I told him he had to go outside and put it out before he came back in he told me "well there is not a no smoking sign"

When I was working for my previous carrier, customer comes up to my Kiosk..

He is ticked that his phone was dropping calls, keys not working, and what not. I told him we could warranty it for free, but that is done thru the mail so he would be without for about 72 hours. This only makes him more irate, he turns to walk away, takes 2 steps and SMASHES his phone on the floor. Looking like a moron having to chase the screen around the tile floor of the mall, and best of all, he came back next day to ask about the insurance he DIDN'T have. Purchased a phone at full retail... Ummmm.... K??? ๐Ÿคจ

THOSE ARE THE GREATEST ONE. when i use to work in the store (before i went to the government side) i was the MOD and i denied a customer getting a replacement for his 8100 for a few reason, 1. wet 2. foreign faceplate and he didn't have the org. faceplate 3. broken charging port. so the customer was PISSED OFF and went outside and slammed the phone on the hard ground and it broken in many pieces. about 2 hours later the customer comes back in yelling about the fact that he didn't have TEC, he calmed down and calls C.S. they wanted me to replace his phone thats now in many pieces. i asked for the reps number, took a picture of his phone and sent it to her and asked her to send him a replacement. when she saw the picture she said no then the c...

Here is something funny someone from Verzion said to me:

I had a 700W by Treo, and it was acting slow, I call up my Local Verizon store, and asked what should I do. They told me, "we are fixing to have an upgrade for that by next Wednesday, so come in when you get a chance" and I thought "awesome" I will get this problem fixed.

I get there and talk to the Tech Service people, and they said "sir I don't know who told you that but that is not true at all."

I really laughed at that one ๐Ÿ™‚

When i worked at the call center, i had a customer call in yelling and screaming that his phone keeps dropping calls, after the customer refused to let me try and trouble shoot he continues to say he has had the screen replaced by a source other than lg. I advised him that by doing that if there was a wrnty left on the phone it was voided. He then procedes to tell me his screen is cracked again because he throws it when it drops a call. Again i tell him the damage voids the wrnty. he keeps telling me that i need to send him a free phone now because he deserves it. his phone is only damaged because it drops calls and he throws it. The call eventually dropped and i couldnt get back in contact with him ๐Ÿคฃ (darn)

I'm an indirect. I had a costumer a week ago who upgraded her phone (startec) to K1m. She wanted me to transfer her phone book, I was a little busy, so I asked her kindly to come back after 20 minutes. She told me she'll come back tomorrow. Couple of days after she comes back and she tells me that this phone has a lot of problems. I asked her, what kind of problems? She told me that she went to the corp store (couple of blocks away from me) to transfer her phone book. So one of the reps told her that the phone is defected because speed dial wasn't working. So he told her to go back to the indirect and return the phone, cancel the upgrade and come back to him so he can do an upgrade for her and give her a 'brand new' K1m. And he told her neve...

It's horrible when corp store reps pull that because they'd rather have the sale. Not to say all corp store reps behave this way, mind you. I have a few friends that work at corp stores and they are stand-up people and I always refer my customers to their stores.

I would definitely report that person to the store manager. If he seems indifferent, I'd find out who the district manager is and go to them. This kind of crap has to be stopped. It affects everyone, not just the customer.

you should actually go to your Indirect VZW rep. WE had this problem in the mall. and it has been fixed for the most part not nearly as many customers saying this kind of thing anymore.

Ok so here is something I did. Yes, I can admit I did something wrong! One of my business customers who is set up on active sync called me asking if he could save a e-mail to his computer but it not show on his phone. Me, not even thinking said gee, I don't know, let me check into that for you. Got of the phone and called my VZW rep who set me straight. Ya i completely knew you are actually accessing your account from both devices. I just didn't put two and two together. So I still feel like a complete idiot for that one.
