Quick and possibly stupid question:
I'm eligible for my NE2 phone. I'd like to stick with my current phone, but I'd like to cash in on my discount.
So, I would want to get the RAZR for $0 (with discounts) and--instead of activating it--sell it on eBay so I can recoup my NE2 discount.
Will this all work out? I imagine they may have rules to prevent this; such only awarding the discount when I activate the phone, etc.
Thanks,
Dan

What you need to do is once you get your Razr, follow the instructions and activate it (accept the new agreement), once the razr is activated on your account do an ESN change back to your old equiptment, then your Razr will be free to sell on eBay.
...
Cool, thanks.
Are there limits to how often I can do an ESN change? I have this absurd dream of having a weekend and weekday phone.
...
Not that I have run into, I do ESN changes all the time.
...
Make sure your current phone is E911 capable, or else it won't work.
...
good call, I just assumed it was but it might not be
...
What model is it? I can tell you if it is or not.
...
Thanks for your help, it's the LG VX-7000.
...
YOu wont have any problem reactivating it, just keep in mind that you will have to keep it for another 2 years or pay full retail for a new phone once you sell your upgrade
...
7000 is e911 compatible. wfine81 is right

I just want to add, if you want to do ESN changes, you have to call customer service to do it if the phone has Vcast or can have Vcast. I was used to doing it online, but I can't now with a Vcast phone. I like to swap phones all the time but I can't now it too much trouble.
...
Just go into a store and kick the guy working $5 and he will do it for you, or buy an accessory for your new phone.
...
If you are going from Vcast capable to Non vcast capable and vice versa you will NOT be able to do your ESN change online. If you are going Vcast to Vcast or non to non you will be fine doing the ESN changes online.
