Why are so many calls going directly to my voice mail?

I have called VZW for the last time. I come here in hopes for an answer.

I have tried E815, 8300, KRZR.

So far the KRZR seems to be the best but I have missed 3 calls today that went directly to VM. I am in Charlotte NC, I have had no less than 4 bars and an EV-DO signal. My phones have all had latest software, *228 update, yada yada. I have seen a DRAMATIC DECREASE in Verizon call quality and reliability as have several friends and family members from NY clear down to Florida.

Cell service is of no use to me if the calls don't come through.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

dial *720 and wait for the confirmation that it went through.

Try that. sometimes the numbers gets forwarded for whatever reason.

Then have someone call you a few times and see what happens..

So *72 is the call forward universal command and O dials the operator. Didn't you just instruct this person to forward all calls to the operator?
Practical joke time perhaps?

lol, it's *71 XXXXXXXXXX is call rollover
*72 XXXXXXX is call forward (no ring)
*73 BLANK is clear call forward or call rollover...

When I don't want to be contacted by my boss on my day off I call rollover to a local ISP number, so I see he's calling, and let it go, instead of voice-mail he gets handshake tone... 🙂

do you turn your phone off at least every 3 days? (re-boot) Leaving it on continuously will cause this.
