New VZW Promotions?
I read on this forum a few weeks back that today, August 2nd, was the day when Verizon ended one promotional period and began another. I just checked out the website and can't see that anything has changed.
Just curious to know if anything new has happened or if we're going to stick with the same promotions and features for a while longer.

I have not heard of any new promotions as of yet. As far as I know we are still using the May promotions.

Are you kidding? Verizon does not need to implement promotions! They just signed 1.2 million new lemmings without them despite their Limp extended network and now a BT phone finally that seems to be clipped by Verizon so as not to be able to move pics and ringtones from a PC....Verizon does not HAVE to use promotions or do much in support of their lemming's needs phonewise. They get them anyway!
And to think there was a time I was thinking of becoming a Verizon lemming as well, waiting for their BT offering.
Its no wonder why Motorola and the other biggies do not make a lot of phones for Verizon. It gives them a bad name. There are lemmings who believe it's Motorola's fault the BT seems to be of limited use on the V710.

Well if I can get someone to even look at options in carriers and their latest network coverage, phones, and prices. It may be of great service to remind them Verizon has no incentive to offer great promotions, phones,prices etc.

1. Verizons BT entry is crimped not to allow data and pic transfer through BT.Verizon still has no flexibility and choice in hones....whos surprised?
2. Cingulars version of GIN covers their WHOLE network, not a small patchwork where you have to check your phone before making a call...pointless rambling, I know
3. JD Powers #1 Cust Care belongs to T Mobile.....ouch Verizon, that was such a huge selling point...T MOBILE beat you out...T Mobile!

This is a service to those considering Verizon to make sure they do their homework before settling for paying more for less because they believe the hype over the facts.
Cingular reps can say what they want about me.They want to keep the peace and all being in the same business, the lovefest going.
That aside Cingular service and reliability is great, the prices are great and the coverage is very very close to Verizons and exceeds Verizon in digital services. There are some new reginal offers that were spose to expire this month that were extended to 11/1 that were for NoCal, SoCal, and HI.
New plans for HI, las Vegas, and El paso that are goign through 8/31
and a new plan for MT, and S.ID going through 9/30
also for the big news, effective Aug 9th ALL lines in family shares will have IN-network calling, they are droping that stupid additional $10 charge on all national and local family share plans. These are new plans I don't know if they are going to change everyone automaticly or if it must be requested. You may want to call in if you currently on the last Plan group that didn't have this.
Also launching Aug 9th, they are expanding mexico roaming area, so if you have a North ameri...

Yup, I haven't a clue what happens on the east coast or anything out of my bubble of the western 12 states. Launch dates may differ nationaly.

I am located in orlando, fl, and i have yet to hear anything about any promo except the ones that are in currently, though with vzw it could be the 5th and then we will here, hell could be the morning of the 6th for that matter, but aug 6th is when they normally come out, but i have yet to hear what they will be.
