To my knowledge there was never rollover minutes. As for a phone if she doesnt change plans she will be looking at around 200 for a phone at retail unless she goes on ebay. check out a pn215 if she is looking for simple and cheap. or an lg 3300 but the numbers are smaller on it than the 215. u can get a 215 in store for under 200. u can get it for free if she changes plans though.

with the bar style u are going to have small butons which isnt the best choice for older people. and i am not sure what u are meaning by lights up. the 215 does have a back lighted keypad?

First of all Verizon has never had rollover minutes.

Second of all you should go with the VX3300. It's pretty simple and it's pretty cheap. Plus it's LG and they're the collest.

I am under the impression that perhaps your girlfriends aunt is on a pre-pay account. On those accounts if you add more money, say $30 a month, then the minutes that were still available for the phone to use will then "rollover" and add on to the amount the comes with the $30. You should ask her aunt if she receives a bill in the mail, or if she has to add money over the phone or with a pre-pay card or something. As for phones, she would be looking at paying full price if she wanted a new phone, phones made for post-pay accounts should work on her line if it is indeed pre-pay. All of the more basic phones that are reasonably priced are usually elderly people friendly.

Nope, rollover, never had it, never will!

As for a replacement phone your best price will be to purchase one on Ebay. There really isn't a large button or large display phone in the current inventory. I would recommend an LG-8000 for a flip style phone. It had very large buttons and screen for a flip phone. As for a open faced phone the largest is probably a Nokia 3589. I have an old one my 11 year old nephew uses. It gets better reception than some of the new phones. Good luck in the hunt.
