You do not get screwed, you $50.00. So if getting $50.00 is the same as getting screwed I hope people put it to me all day long. It is still more than any other carrier gives you.

If you used to get 100 off with NE2 know matter what price plan you are on, then they changed the rules and now you get 50, you can call it anything you want I call get getting screwed. Verizon makes mega money there was no need do that.

Be thankful you don't have T-Mobile. All they give is a maximum of $50 off the cost of upgrading. My co-worker has T-Mobile and he told me that's all they give. At least they offer the up to $50 discount to the resellers, unlike Verizon Wireless, who won't allow it to be offered at resellers. I think the discount is better than what some resellers charge to upgrades. You can call it whatever you want gunny, but Best Buy is an example that is a major ripoff t...

It is plain and simple a price increase on equipment. Verizon can charge whatever the market will bear, but don't act like their doing us favors by raising their prices. That's pure BS!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be thankful you don't have to pay full retail like the carriers have to do to purchase the phones. The carriers put huge discounts on the phones already. Do you think they should just give them to you for free?

Don't tell me I should be thankful I will feel anyway I want to so go pound sand. I'm thankful for everything I have in life. What I'm not thankful for is when I pay full retail for a phone thats crippled, and has a proprietary UI on it. Yeah thats right now go away.

Aww poor baby, your bluetooth is crippled and all you can do with it is use a headset. Life must be really tough on you right now. If you hate verizon so bad, quite bitching and go somewhere else. No one forced you to sign up with verizon. Verizon can do whatever they want with the phones, its their network so they can control what they want. 🙄

Cry all you want, that's still good. When I was with Cingular, I didn't get an extra discount on anything - plus I had to pay an $18 upgrade fee.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Remember that as time goes on prices go up, that is the reality of things. I was used to paying 2.40-2.50 per gallon for gas over the winternow it is up to 2.95 per gallon. Should I cry to the gas company???

This was started from February 2006. This NE2 applies to those who signed with VZ thereafter. "If you enrolled with VZ prior to 02/05/2006 and continued to meet the requirement of the program, you will be eligible for free phone up to $100": this is what mentioned in the new brochure of NE2. I think you should be on same plan and not change after 02/05/2006.
