Verizon is screwing me over

ArmySF

Mar 10, 2006, 12:01 PM
looks like I cant escape from the big red devil. I used well over 5000 'in' minutes last month and seldom use less. The best tmobile has is 5000 for 130 bucks and that wont cover me, damn near everyone I know is 'IN' any ideas?

Looks like we may all have to continue to hear about UI

Also, how is the fact that you use 5000 IN related to Verizon screwing you over? I think you subject title should have a different name, that sounds like a nice benefit to me

Verizon is screwing you because they have the best network around, the coolest services and have attracted most of your friends and family because of it, right??? Man you are sooooo biased against Verizon, that it is ridiculous. Somehow it is now Verizons fault that the great T Mobile does not have calling plan suits your needs.

It sounds to me you need to find new friends. (smarter ones) I can't be friends with someone who uses a Vz phone. (not because of the M2M "IN" minutes) It's just because they use Vzw. This means they are not the brightest of the bunch, hence I can't be friends with them. 😉

well as i can see im not the only one that is confused on what you whining about...your getting free minutes to talk to all your buddies and thats a bad thing 😕 ...are you really that dumb ..or am i really just that scared to know that the people protecting our country are this stupid ???????

but with tmobile or sprint you have to pay extra for the mobile to mobile unless your on a family plan and most people dont do it. so they have a guage of how many real mins they use. 'in' mins is a scam, just another way to trap you thats why i say they are screwing me over.

how are they a scam they are there to save you money ....and you do have a gauge of how many minutes you use as long as you can add

also if you #646 it will give you an almost up to date listing of your minutes. also think how much you would have to pay for the in minutes you use if you was with tmobile or any one else. 40 cents or so a minute in what would be overages. lots of money being saved. but if you want a phone for being used as a toy, then go to tmobile. i rather have a phone that works as a phone.

how dare verizon give me free calling to other verizon custoemrs! I can't beleive they would stoop that low 🙄

turn your old verizon phone into an impulse prepaid and use it only for in calling($30) a month. Then go get a tmobile phone and carry two.
...
ArmySF

Mar 10, 2006, 1:36 PM
i guess thats an idea, but i will be using prepaid 90% of the time, i wont really get a chance to enjoy my tmobile phone, plus i dont want to carry two phones, plus the extra cost.
damn verizon this blows

Armysf,
As I see it you have basically 4 options available to you:
1) pay a lot of overages
2) carry 2 phones 1 from Verizon and 1 from a company you don't hate
3) get a RAZR and do the Altel hack
4) save up a hundred billion dollars or so; buy Verizon Wireless, kill the UI, unlock and uncripple everything.
Hope this helps.

i already have a razr with the altel moto ui, it just pissed me off more, because the extremes i had to go thru just to get rid of the red bars, and still very limited with phone choices.

WTF? How is that screwing anybody up. I would have to pay another $40 a month at least if I didn't have IN minutes. Saving me money every month is really screwing me over. Watch out verizon I'm might sue you for saving me money.

So it looks like if you want to switch carriers, it will cost you a lot more money. But...you still have that option. Nobody's twisting your arm and saying that you have to stay with Verizon. From this message, it just sounds like that's your best option. Ha! Ha ha ha ha ha!!

Mar 10, 2006, 4:34 PM
you must work for verizon you seem dense. learn your product the nokia 6256i is crippled in my book. yes the obex is there kinda but they block you from setting mp3 as ring tones. its what you call a verizon obex, you can use it but not really. I have the razr with altell flashed to it, but thats not the point. verizon is a control freak company and everyone on this forum knows it. im sick of having my choices being stripped away from me. i like choices!
...
DeathAwaitsUsAll

Mar 10, 2006, 4:46 PM
You do have choices, either you stay with Verizon, and get your IN calling for free, and deal with a "yucky" UI, which doesn't ****ing matter anyways since its a PHONE, not your house, or your car, or some other customizable product, or you go to some other company that has to let you do w/e you want with their phones or else EVERYONE would switch to Verizon. You got the choice, so why complain to us like a lil bitch about it, and instead grow some balls and do w.e in the **** you feel. Damn dude live your life, and leave us alone.

Seriously man, its starting to piss a lot of ppl off, and not just me. We DO NOT CARE about how you THINK Verizon is screwing you. Its like eating Prime Rib then eating rotten hamburger helper, and saying its the Prime Ribs fault for being SO GOOD. So stfu, and take your complaining somehwere else. Seriously ****ign quit complaining here. 👿

Nobody stripped anything from you. You have the choice to go with T-Mobile or any other carrier, but (based on your original comment) Verizon suits your needs better. You're making the choice to stay with Verizon, so you're the only one to blame for your unhappiness at this point.

Ok, so I take the time to read through the endless posts in this thread. Mind numbing though this debate was, I needed to see how much such an odd concept as a free and seemingly heavily used service such as the M2M 'IN' calling would be a rip off.

What I find odd is that what most people would see as a valuable priority such as cost efficiency for service provided that, even you somewhat concede this by the claim that that is how you get 'trapped', you see this cost efficiency as a bad element of the service. It is logic defying.

So much of this world asks for something more for their dollar and you see it as a trap. I assume that when you go to the grocery store and see the BOGO (buy one, get one) of bottled water or something, you s...

What the hell? Did the phone get stuck to your ear or something and can't be removed? You must sit in your trailer all day watching your day care kids and never visit or speak to anyone in person huh?

Umm.. I only had time to read about 1/2 the replies to ARMYSF's original post of how VZW is Screwing him so I apologize if I am stating something that someone else already has. I just have a couple questions for you, ARMYSF:

If you hate Verizon Wireless so badly, then why are still here?

Do you think it would be a wiser decision for you to pay your ETF (early termination fee) and go to a different company where you can be happy?

It would solve a couple things like you getting off this board and having a much longer life with less stress. Then the rest of us can get back to helping others with ligitimate concerns. If you put as much energy into things that are working in your life that you do this forum I'm sure you could hav...

Actually, the buyout will not be completed until probably the end of the year. Plus, switch now and get into a contract, AT&T when they take over, if they will not let our customers keep the state unlim plan, it will be a breach of contract and our customers will have the option of opting out of their contract with no etf fee. If that happens he can just go back to the red devil
